The skip the line ticket was very good, unfortunately the garden and especially the house was already massively overcrowded at 9.30 am, with a long queue and waiting time.

The commentary was very basic. There were vast opportunities for additional information and anecdotes, and I felt I was sold short. There was a main description of Monet's life and work, but it was just like a Wikipedia page and lacked colour. The guide was pleasant, but didn't transmit an enthusiasm for the artist, or engage with the party. I wasn't sure why we given headphones, as 90% of the time there was nothing said.

I liked that we were able to have a guaranteed ticket. I was worried that we might not get in since we couldn't reserve a ticket with the Monet foundation in the morning. This guaranteed us entry and without a line.
