Last week

Palazzo Vecchio is easy to find, we didn't have to wait at the entrance, and we could head freely up to the top of the tower. Splendid views of the Duomo and the old town. This experience was the perfect start to our trip.

Access to the tower was very easy.. Just note that there are a lot of steps inside the town hall before you get to the tower climb. Once in the tower you can stop for a rest in a little room which was a prison and then half way up there is 360 viewing before making the last climb to top. At the top there are great views over Florence and the the duomo. Well worth the effort. This is a good choice if you feeling climbing the duomo dome or the Campanile bell tower is too much.
