The guide explained the cathedral is no longer allowing interior group tours. He explained the history and exterior facade very well but had to leave us in the queue for the interior. You can wait in line (we waited 1 hour in the heat) or you can book on-line but only up to 2 days ahead. They seem to open the pre-bokable tickets at midnight (Paris time) to book to avoid pre-booking weeks ahead. This gives those in Paris a chance to book. You will then have only a few minutes to wait. As expected inside is very congested with a one-way system. It is all very clean and bright and new of course.

I have waited 40 years to come to Paris. Seeing Notre-Dame in person brought tears to my eyes. Natalie was a Wonderful guide. She met our group with a friendly smile and in many languages for those present. #youri was a really nice guide, and the exterior tour was interesting, but we didn't understand why the interior tour was canceled! And we were very disappointed to have to wait in line again for an hour in the blazing sun just to get back into the NDP! Ticket price with a guide: €40 per person for the full tour.
