Students form the majority of the population here, and the entire area has a lively atmosphere with a number of cafes and bistros. You will pass by the sprawling Luxembourg Gardens, a welcome sight in the middle of the bustling metropolis.
You will continue onto the Saint-Germain-des-Pres area, which is well-known for its luxury stores and boutiques. Next on the itinerary is a visit to the Notre Dame, situated on the Ile de la Cite island. Well known for its Gothic architecture, the Notre Dame gargoyles pierce you with their stony eyes.
