The Driver was the most experienced person who kept us safe and on time during lots of crazy conditions. I know I couldn't drive that area myself so I'm super grateful.Samir

What a DAY. Beaches were sooooo windy, almost lost my hat. Guide shared personal stories from her grandpa’s time in WWII—loved that. Met some cool ppl on the bus too. If you’re thinking about it, just go.Nadia

I took my grandfather and he was so happy to finally see Omaha Beach. Guide was super respectful, let him take his time. Bus was comfy, and the lunch was decent. Weather was perfect. Highly recommend if you want a day to remember.Marta

So, I did this Normandy day trip with my dad (he’s a WWII nut), and honestly—WORTH IT. Our guide (can’t remember his name, but super friendly, British accent) made the stories come alive. Weather started out drizzly but cleared up by the time we hit Omaha Beach, which felt kinda poetic? The bus was comfy, but a bit chilly, so bring a sweater. Lunch was decent (I had fish, was ok but not EPIC), but the real highlight was standing in the American cemetery. Gave me chills. Only downside—traffic back into Paris, ugh, nearly 4 hours. But all in all, totally recommend if you wanna see history up close.

Normandy beaches
Stop at Utah Beach to grab a bite at the Le Roosevelt Restaurant before visiting the Utah Beach Landing Museum inside a preserved German bunker. Your guide will share bloodcurdling details of how the US Armed Forces stormed the beach and took Utah during WWII. After a brief pause, resume your trip to Omaha Beach's Normandy American Cemetery & Memorial. Watch a short moving documentary on American forces and explore the permanent exhibitions of the visitor center. As you walk through the cemetery say a silent prayer for the troops that fought the Battle of Normandy and witness the wreath-laying ceremony honoring the service and suffering of WWII veterans. You might even be chosen to take part in the event with your squad.
End your day with a reflective stroll on the beach pondering upon life's fragility, before boarding the shuttle with newfound gratitude. On your way back to Paris you'll break your journey at Bosgouet.
