CoupleVerified booking6 days ago5/5My favorite part about the tour was the self-guided tour of the hydro plant, including going down into the tunnel. However, our tour guide was so knowledgable about the area and brought in her own personal experiences and her dad's experiences, which really added to the experience! We thought we were going to miss the tour since we went to the Starbucks outside the tower instead of in the upper lobby . . . But we were so glad to make it and get to enjoy such a lovely learning experience!KKaren W

Niagara Falls: more than just a waterfall!
Kick off your Niagara Falls tour begins atop the Skylon Tower and the sky-deck with a bird’s-eye view of the waterfalls. Observe the Niagara Parks Power Station humming below and the International Control Dam guiding the fall waters to a sharp 180 feet drop, down the Niagara Gorge. Walk out of the 2200 foot-long Tailrace Tunnel to unique views of the Horseshoe Falls on the observation deck. Don’t forget to stop at the Illumination Tower offering a glittering light show every night, as you move ahead to the historic statue of Nikola Tesla.
Niagara Falls and hydroelectricity: a story for the ages
Gain insight into the story of Nikola Tesla and The Current War, and how Niagara Falls shaped the outcome. Next, approach the Niagara Parks Power Station – the first ever hydroelectric power plant, where you can now train hands-on with the original machinery! Descend 180 feet in glass to the base of Niagara Falls and marvel at the power plant structure excavated a 100 years ago with only dynamite and pickaxes. End the tour with a walk through the Tailrace Tunnel onto the viewing deck — the exit point for the water into the Niagara River for over a century! Your reward? — unparalleled views of both the Horseshoe and American Falls.
