All bags and personal items will be scanned as you enter, and once cleared, you’ll begin your journey through one of the world’s most impressive collections of ancient artifacts.

    Ancient Greece's masterpieces

First, the guide will lead you through the museum’s sculptures, starting with the Venus of Milo, sharing insights on her missing arms and the centuries of debate surrounding her.

    A glimpse into ancient Egypt

Next, your guide will take you into the Egyptian collection, where you’ll encounter rare and well-preserved mummies dating back over 3,000 years. Learn about the ancient Egyptian burial practices, and hear how these fascinating artifacts traveled thousands of miles to be preserved here.

    Roman mosaics & intricate pottery

As you explore the galleries, marvel at the intricate Roman mosaics, depicting daily life, battles, and mythological tales, expertly crafted to decorate the homes of the wealthy.

    An ancient analog computer

One of the museum’s most iconic artifacts is the Antikythera mechanism, considered the world’s first analog computer. Your guide will take you through its discovery and complex reconstruction, revealing how this ancient device was used to predict celestial events, an engineering feat centuries ahead of its time.

    Hidden gems

As you continue through the museum, your guide will share hidden stories behind each artifact. From the ongoing mystery of the Mask of Agamemnon to the luxurious Mycenaean gold jewelry, you’ll gain insights into the lives of ancient Greeks, Romans, and Egyptians that go beyond the ordinary museum experience.
