Getting started

Begin your visit with a ride on the Langkawi SkyCab, which takes you toward the summit of Machinchang Mountain. As the cable car climbs, the landscape gradually opens up, revealing forested valleys, mountain ridges, and the surrounding scenery. If you’ve selected the 360° Gondola option, enjoy the open-air design and refreshing mountain breeze as you travel upwards.

What to expect

• Your Langkawi Cable Car experience offers a bird’s-eye view of the island’s natural landscapes. During the ascent, look out over the main island and surrounding islets, with closer views of unique vegetation along the mountain ridges and forested valleys between the middle and upper stations.

• The journey also brings views of the Seven Sisters Waterfall, ocean, and lush greenery surrounding Machinchang Mountain. The changing perspective from the cable car makes the ascent an important part of the experience, with expansive scenery unfolding as you approach the summit.

• Once you reach the viewing areas, continue to the SkyBridge and SkyWalk for elevated vantage points over Langkawi. The viewing platforms provide a chance to take in the island’s west coast and surrounding landscapes from above, with panoramic views stretching across the natural scenery.

• For an even more immersive ride, the 360° Gondola offers an open-air cable car experience, allowing you to feel the breeze of Machinchang Mountain while enjoying the views throughout the ascent.
