Wizyta w Kopalni Soli w Wieliczce bardzo nam się podobała. To naprawdę wyjątkowe i niezwykle ciekawe miejsce. Nasz przewodnik bardzo interesująco opowiadał, miał ogromną wiedzę i potrafił w ciekawy sposób przekazać wiele informacji. Dzięki niemu dowiedzieliśmy się mnóstwa nowych i interesujących rzeczy. Szczególne wrażenie zrobiły na nas piękne rzeźby wykonane z soli oraz podziemne komory. Spacer po kopalni był niesamowitym doświadczeniem – można było spokojnie zwiedzać, podziwiać wszystko dookoła i poczuć wyjątkowy klimat tego miejsca. Jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni z wycieczki. Wszystko było świetnie zorganizowane, a zwiedzanie dostarczyło nam wielu pozytywnych wrażeń. Zdecydowanie polecamy odwiedzenie Kopalni Soli w Wieliczce!

¡Una experiencia impecable de principio a fin! El tour estuvo increíble y sumamente interesante. Sin duda, lo mejor fue el guía: súper profesional, apasionado y con un conocimiento excepcional que hizo que cada parada valiera la pena. La logística mediante la app de Headout fue impecable. El transporte en autobús estuvo fenomenal: súper cómodo, puntual, perfectamente organizado y con un aire acondicionado excelente, lo cual se agradece muchísimo tanto en el viaje de ida como en el de regreso. ¡Totalmente recomendado! Sin duda volvería a reservar por aquí.

A fantastic experience! Thanks to the skip-the-line tickets, we entered the mine faster than I can find the salt shaker at home. Our guide was interesting and funny, so we barely noticed how many steps we had climbed down. The underground chambers are beautiful—the chapel, statues, and even chandeliers made of salt are truly impressive. We decided not to taste the walls, though. 😄 I definitely recommend this tour. Once you return to the surface, you will never look at ordinary table salt the same way again!

The tour was outstanding! First - the person who met us at the receiving line was very helpful in helping us with our tickets after we arrived at the wrong time. The guide for the tour was exceptional- her knowledge and her love of history shined through. The tunnels were amazing! So many salt sculptures- pictures do not capture their beauty. Recommend for anyone staying in Krakow. There's a direct train to the mines that runs regularly and easy to use, even for those of us mature folks.

Interesting place, history and a lot of info from the guide. Different presentation from our experience from Austria. What we would appreciate- the application to download providing more languages. Unfortunately, not everyone speaks fluent English and time to time it was a bit difficult to understand when longer distance from the guide.

Great tour The guide was very entertaining & informative. The cathedral space was amazing; the carvings of the altar and freezes was very special. We also enjoyed a beer in the miners cafe. Overall would highly recommend espicially on a very hot summers day or cold winter day with the mine temperature being kept a constant 18 degrees

This booking was so well organised. I was kept informed all of the way including pick up points, times & even make & model of the bus including the registration number. Wieliczka Salt Mine

Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1978, the Wieliczka Salt Mine has operated continuously since the 13th century and is one of Poland’s most treasured cultural monuments. Descend 800 stairs to explore a vast underground world, reaching a depth of 135 meters.

St. Kinga Chapel: This grand underground chapel, carved entirely from salt, features detailed bas-reliefs and chandeliers, making it a highlight for visitors and a testament to miners’ craftsmanship.

Salt sculptures and chambers: Walk through 20 unique chambers, each showcasing intricate salt sculptures and historic mining equipment that reveal centuries of mining tradition.

Underground lakes and tunnels: Discover saline lakes and an extensive network of tunnels stretching over 300 kilometers, illustrating the mine’s scale and engineering significance.

Professional guide: Gain insights into the mine’s history, geology, and legends with commentary tailored in the language of your choice, ensuring an informative and engaging experience.

What to bring

Comfortable shoes are recommended.

Bring warm clothing as the temperature underground ranges between 14° and 16° C.

What’s not allowed

Luggage or large bags are not allowed inside the mine.

Luggage larger than 30 x 20 x 10 centimeters is not permitted (can be left on the bus if applicable).

Accessibility

Not suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility impairments.

There are approximately 800 steps to climb, with 350 at the beginning to descend into the mine.

Additional information

The tour is not recommended for anyone with claustrophobia.

Maximum group size is 40 visitors per guide.

The pace and duration of guided tours are determined by visitor service regulations; duration is approximate.

Toilet facilities are spaced along the route at approximately 40 and 90 minutes from the start of the visit.

If your child is less than 150 cm tall, please inform the local partner so a child seat can be arranged.

Your pickup time and/or tour entry time may be adjusted due to venue availability; you will be informed by the activity provider if necessary.

The local partner will contact you by WhatsApp, email, or phone the day before your tour to confirm the final pickup and tour timing; please refer to your final voucher for the confirmed schedule.

If your accommodation is in Krakow’s Old Town or Kazimierz (restricted traffic zones), the nearest possible pickup point will be confirmed.

Meet at the UNESCO monument in front of the entrance to the mine if not using pickup.
