Our guide fully explained all the dishes and condiments we had. The restaurant had mostly locals eating there so I believe the food was authentic. All the dishes were enjoyable. Very good experience.

Tour was well organised and the guide started a WhatsApp group which is a great idea to help meet up . A few local snacks then off to the Dervish performance which is a must see then onto dinner at the oldest restaurant in Istanbul . Food was excellent and Zeynep really made the evening with her local knowledge and engaging personality , a fine example of Turkish hospitality !

This experience was simply amazing. The Whirling Dervishes is super interesting and very useful to learn about Sufi Islam. Also the Turkish food experience was really good and complete. Our guide Zeynep was top notch! She was friendly, clear, fun and very willing to help with any questions about Istanbul. 100% recommended!

Took the tour solo (bit nervous at first tbh) but ended up loving every minute. The guide, Mehmet, honestly felt more like a friend by the end. He had all these fun facts about the neighborhoods, and the food stops were SOOO good—loved the tiny bakery with the pistachio baklava (I still dream about it). Group was a nice mix, not too big, and we got to chat with locals at one of the tea places. Only thing—wear comfy shoes, the hills are no joke! Would def recommend if you want to eat like a local and not just do touristy stuff.

Meet your guide near Sirkeci Train Station and walk together to the ceremony venue. You’ll receive a brief introduction to Sufism to help you better understand the ritual before taking your seat.

What to expect

Begin with the Mevlevi Sema ceremony, a 60-minute spiritual performance where dervishes whirl in a meditative rhythm accompanied by live Sufi music. The ritual symbolizes a journey toward inner harmony and divine connection. After the ceremony, head to a historic family-run restaurant where you’ll enjoy a traditional Turkish dinner featuring a variety of regional dishes, offering a complete 2.5 hours of cultural experience.
