The cable car was a fun experience. Booking the ticket in advance wasn't a must but very convenient. We were the first one to board the cable car that morning. On top of Montjuïc you can do a nice walk, however not fully round, because there were construction works ongoing. The views at Barcelona city are limited due to the tree vegetation. The views from the cable car were fantastic. We spent like an hour on top of Montjuïc after we came down again with cable car and continued our journey.

The Montjuïc Cable Car was one of the highlights of my Barcelona trip. Floating above the city gave me a completely different perspective—you can see the Mediterranean glimmering on one side and the Sagrada Família peeking through the skyline on the other. The ride itself was smooth and relaxing, but what made it memorable for me was reaching the top just in time for sunset. Watching the sky turn gold and pink over the city from that height was absolutely unforgettable. I’d recommend the roundtrip tickets to anyone—it’s the perfect mix of adventure, views, and convenience.

This ticket gives you access to the Montjuïc Cable Car, not the Montjuïc funicular.

Make sure to download your tickets and audio tour before your visit—there’s no WiFi or network available on-site. All you’ll need is WiFi, a compatible smartphone, and at least 350 MB of free storage space on your device.
