Interesting experience and large aquarium .. very family friendly . My only issue is that the explanation for each fish was not too strong .. hence we had to guess a lot which fish is which one

Lo bueno es que al llegar solo te escanean la entrada y podes ingresar sin hacer ninguna cola. Otra ventaja es que podés entrar en cualquier momento del día

The Aquarium of Barcelona gets more fascinating the deeper you go in. In the beginning there was a small show for younger kids that got everyone super hooked and ready to enter the aquarium. When we entered there was a lot of sea animals. At first the don’t catch your attention but as you read the information about each fish given below it is so interesting to see how the work. There was a lot of unique, colorful and fun fish and more uncommon animals such as the seahorses and starfishes. There was a tunnel area where it was all glass around us and we could really see the animals fully in their more natural habitat. It also gave everyone a really good view of each animal to really get to see them better. My favorites were the seahorses, sting rays, sharks and eels. You cannot miss it! It was so amazing that even the young kids who were there had a fun time and didn’t cry once. Overall my favorites was the tunnel and there are two tunnels. After there is a feeding koi area.

Getting started

Head straight to L’Aquàrium de Barcelona at Port Vell. It’s easy to spot by the waterfront. Show your mobile ticket at the entrance and breeze past the ticket line. A quick scan, a short security check, and you’re in!

What to expect

Barcelona Aquarium

Welcome to one of Europe’s most fascinating marine centers, home to the largest Mediterranean-themed aquarium in the world. It’s where 11,000 sea creatures from 450 species swim, glide, and dazzle in front of your eyes.

Oceanarium: Walk through Europe’s longest underwater tunnel, 80 metres of glass surrounded by sharks, rays, and sunfish gliding gracefully above and beside you. Wander through 80+ tanks recreating Mediterranean and tropical marine worlds, from coral reefs to kelp forests.

Aquarium: Explore over 80 tanks that recreate the beauty of Mediterranean and tropical ecosystems. Spot coral reefs, seahorses, and vibrant schools of fish as you move from zone to zone.

Planet Aqua: Discover how marine life adapts to extreme conditions. From icy penguins to ancient fossils, this zone reveals the incredible resilience of ocean species.

Explora!: A playground for young explorers. Kids can touch, play, and learn through hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity about the sea.

What to bring

Carry a valid ID with the name matching that on your booking.

If you plan on spending an entire day, a pair of comfortable walking shoes is a must.

What's not allowed

Feeding the animals at any of the exhibits is strictly prohibited.

Pets are not allowed at the venue.

Consuming any food or drinks inside the aquarium is prohibited. You can dine at the cafeteria if needed.

You're not allowed to carry your coat, luggage, and personal items into the venue. You can store them in the lockers available for rent near the entrance.

Accessibility

The venue is fully wheelchair accessible and suited to visitors with limited mobility.

Additional information

Your tickets allow you to stay for as long as you want on the day of your visit.

Children up to the age of 2 can enter the venue for free. However, minors (under 18) must always be under an adult's supervision.

In case of an accident or malfunction, the site will be evacuated, and you won't be entitled to a refund.

The last time slot is one and a half hours before the closure of the Aquarium; make sure you arrive on time to make the most of your visit.
