We loved the wonderful warm spa water. The attendants were lovely and helpful as there was a bit of a problem with my QR code. It was an experience I will never forget.

The experience at the baths was fantastic. The private cabin was a great find, very comfortable. The restrooms are fine, although they got quite crowded around midday. Regarding the Gastrocellar, it was a rip-off. It's not served at the bathhouse restaurant; you have to go to a place in the Jewish Quarter between 2 pm and 11 pm. We were told it was just a drink, no snacks. When we left the baths, we went there at 5 pm and it was closed. We went back an hour later, at 6 pm, and it was still closed. So, €13 of the bathhouse ticket wasted. A disappointment.

Spa was amazing. We also did Beerspa. However very difficult to get in initially as our ticket from Headout wouldn't scan. After over 3 hours at spa we were ready for the tasting at GastroCellar. It was an hours walk away which we didn't mind. But when we got there GastroCellar was closed for construction! Disappointing end to a great day.

Sicuramente un'esperienza da fare in inverno con temperature esterne sotto lo zero....un pochino confusionarie le indicazioni del personale sul posto (a parte non funzionare il codice inviato in un primo momento ma situazione che si è risolta subito) gradevole anche la degustazione a Gastro cellar

Once inside, the baths were very enjoyable. Adventure Pool was my favorite, but also enjoyed the indoor pool and cold plunge. Headout as a 3rd party ticket source caused some headache. Entry instructions made no sense to staff, and I was not sent my confirmation email the baths needed. Staff had to phone Headout to confirm our tickets.

Gastrocellar was closed when we went. Instructions on opening hours was unclear. It was kind of a waste of money because you can buy a ticket for the bathhouse onsite that's cheaper.

Széchenyi Spa is Europe’s largest medicinal bath and a centerpiece of Hungarian spa culture since its opening in 1913. Known for its elegant Neo-Baroque architecture and healing thermal waters, the spa offers a rejuvenating experience for both body and mind.

Thermal pools: Choose from 15 indoor and 3 outdoor pools, with water temperatures ranging from 18°C to 40°C, ideal for relaxation and wellness.

Saunas and steam baths: Access a variety of saunas and steam rooms, all included in your day ticket, for a complete spa experience.

Cultural insights: Explore written displays about Hungarian traditions in the guest lounge, then step into a showroom styled as a traditional village, featuring folk costumes, carriages, and local artifacts, perfect for photos and learning about Hungary’s heritage.

What to bring

Bring your swimsuit, towel, flip-flops, and a swimming cap. Slippers are required throughout the spa. Swimming caps are only needed in swimming pools, not thermal baths.

What’s not allowed

Children under 14 cannot use the indoor thermal pools, as the thermal water is not recommended for them.

You’ll need to leave the pools and surrounding areas 20 minutes before closing.

Last entry is allowed up to one hour before closing time.

Some pools and saunas may be temporarily closed for regular maintenance.
