One of the easier snowshoeing trails is that of Wetterhorn. Your trail is relatively flat and your walk is close to 2 hours (at max)- it is therefore accessible by most! The Wetterhorn offers impressive views from beginning to end: start at the outskirts of Grindelwald, an idyllic mountain village. You'll climb along the foothills of Wetterhorn, towards Grosse Scheidegg. The Upper Grindelwald Glacier, First ski resort, and Schynige will grace your sight as you wind your way through the alpine meadows and snow-capped forests. You'll break at a rustic mountain hut, Ischboden, where you may freshen up and visit the Alpine Bird Park if you wish. Then, descend your way back down to the Wetterhorn carpark, where your wonderful tour comes to an end!

Important Information

No prior experience required. Moderate fitness required - there will be 1.5 - 2 hours of walking

Children under 12yrs must be accompanied by an adult. Minimum age is 8yrs

What to bring: Warm waterproof winter clothing (available to rent), camera, water, suncream, sunglasses, daypack
