Loved the idea of QR code guiding but wish I'd been told to bring headphones. We're not all Gen Z visitors! Many others in the same situation. The voiced description coming from all angles in 3 languages became quite distracting. The Alcazar is beautiful, such grandeur - and I was genuinely awestruck by the size and quality of the interior that remains so well preserved after centuries. The gardens are immense and although the current season means we didn't see the plants and flowers at their best, the design and upkeep are wonderful. The peacocks would not play ball and did not display their feathers but their distinct haunting call resounded throughout. All in all a lovely afternoon. I wish I'd had more time there.

Abbiamo acquistato i biglietti a un prezzo super scontato, in quanto under 30 con la youth card. Purtroppo abbiamo avuto qualche problema all'accesso in quanto chi controllava i biglietti sosteneva che il nostro sconto fosse valido solo per studenti (in effetti sul sito ufficiale non parla di youth card under30 ma solo di studenti). Per fortuna poi è arrivata in nostro soccorso una ragazza giovane che ci ha dato ragione e tutto è andato per il meglio, siamo entrati con i nostri biglietti scontati. Il palazzo e i giardini meritano!

Il prezzo é ottimo perché solo la visita dell'alcazar dal sito ufficiale ci sarebbe costata quasi quanto il pacchetto acquistato con bus+alcazar, molto semplice scaricare i biglietti dall'app ed entrata rapidissima per l'alcazar. Unica pecca le fermate dell'autobus turistico non sono indicate benissimo e per la prima salita abbiamo faticato un po' a capire dove si sarebbe fermato. Nel complesso però ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo

L' attrazione è meritevole e mozzafiato. Peccato per due sale chiuse per allestimenti. Le indicazioni per gli spostamenti sono a nostro avviso poco intuitive, abbiamo perso tempo cercando di seguire l'itinerario. Le spiegazioni erano però esaustive.

Getting started

Begin your visit at the Puerto del Leon (Lion's Gate), the main entrance to the palace, where staff will check your ticket and ID. You can start your journey through the palace and gardens at your reserved time after a brief security screening.

What to expect

The Royal Alcázar is Europe’s oldest royal residence still in use, renowned for its blend of Moorish and Spanish Christian architecture. This means you get to walk the very corridors and rooms that Spanish royalty still frequents. Notably, this historic complex was also declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.

What to bring

Bring an original, valid passport or ID card for entry along with your ticket.

You can present your ticket printed or on your mobile.

If you're eligible for student or pensioner discounts, make sure to bring original supporting documentation (EU citizens only).

If you choose the audio guide, bring along your best headphones and a fully charged mobile device with sufficient free space to download the app.

What’s not allowed

Food and drinks are not permitted inside the monument (except for water and food for babies).

Alcohol, drugs, and intoxicated behavior are strictly prohibited.

Weapons, sharp objects, and large bags or luggage are not allowed.

Pets are not permitted, except for guide dogs or emotional support dogs with valid documentation.

Selfie sticks, flash photography, and tripods are not allowed.

Entering the palace barefoot and bachelor or bachelorette party groups are not permitted.

Accessibility

The Alcázar of Seville is wheelchair accessible.

Guide dogs and emotional support animals are allowed within the Alcazar, subject to producing the official documentation.

Additional information

You must arrive at the designated entry point 15 minutes before your scheduled time to complete check-in.

Your ticket does not include a visit to the Royal High Room.

Visits to the gardens are subject to weather and safety conditions and may be closed without prior notice.

The monument is vacated at 17:45 from October to March and at 19:45 from April to September.

Visitors with disabilities enjoy free entry—you must bring a card accrediting a disability of 33% or more along with your ID or passport.

Pensioners or students between 17 and 25 enjoy reduced entry fees (valid only for EU citizens), subject to presenting supporting documentation.

Visitors born in Seville or residents of the city enjoy free entry, subject to producing the relevant accrediting documentation.
