Beautiful site with much to explore. Visited during non peak time (mid October). Exploring the caves was the highlight.

Die Warteschlange war ziemlich lang, doch es hat sich absolut gelohnt. Bisher das Highlight meiner Reise, und ich war vorher schon begeistert. Ein wunderschöner Park, in dem es den ganzen Tag etwas zu bestaunen gibt. Von der Initiationstätte über die Grotten bis zu den vielen Türmchen... Einfach toll! Das Schloss ist von außen auch wunderschön. Innen haben mir die Möbel und Holzdecken besonders gut gefallen.

We visited Quinta da Regaleira, one of the famed palaces in Sintra, Portugal. The gardens surrounding the palace are magnificent, a labyrinth of paths that lead to the properties numerous attractions. The architecture embodies several classical styles. The most prominent being gothic with numerous turrets and gargoyles. The initiation well was the highlight of the tour - an 27 meter deep inverted tower with historical ties to the Freemasons and the Knights Templar. The signage at the facility should be better marked for guests, it may be a good idea to review property maps online. Certainly worth the visit!

Don’t rush your visit — give yourself at least half a day to wander, get a bit lost, and take in the details. Whether you're into history, art, nature, or just love discovering the unusual, Quinta da Regaleira will stay with you long after you've left. An unforgettable, soul-stirring experience. Absolutely unmissable.

La guida (Macarena) è stata bravissima. Giusta la proporzione tra tempo libero e guidato. Peccato non aver fatto sosta a Cascais, che si è vista solo dal bus.
