La experiencia ha sido muy buena, la ubicación para recoger los tickets no era exactamente donde nos conducía Google maps, pero había personas pendientes preguntando si íbamos con headout y enseguida nos dieronnlos tickets impresos. Después solo hemos tenido que pasar por la entrada evitando las colas. Y sobre Pompeya, nada que decir, hay que ir a verlo, es increíble que después de tantos años este tan bien conservado. Nos ha encantado la visita.

Met head out naar Pompeï Vanaf het station was de entree goed aangegeven. Je hoeft niet te zoeken. Je moet eerst nog even langs de tourist office met je entree bewijs. Die vindt je aan de overkant. Ze printen je entreetickets uit en daarmee kun je naar Pompeï. Wel watertappunten in Pompeï maar geen horeca! Je moet dus zelf eten en drinken meenemen. Buiten de poort zijn cafes en restaurants. Een wc heb ik ook niet gevonden. Best raar eigenlijk

Ha sido una experiencia única e inolvidable. No dudamos en volver, pues aún nos quedan muchos rincones repletos de historia que no nos queremos perder. Lo mejor, sin duda, la agradable atención de las trabajadoras, que nos permitieron adentrarnos en el universo de Pompeia.

Merveilleuse visite de ce site magnifique sans avoir une pensée pour les habitants qui ont payé de leur vie au milieu de ces bâtiments redécouverts révélant leur mode de vie de l'époque. Pour nous c'est une bonne leçon d'histoire.

What to expect

Herculaneum

Step into a remarkably preserved ancient town dating back to the 6th century BC, known for its intact upper floors and quieter atmosphere compared to Pompeii. This UNESCO site offers a rare glimpse into daily life of the coastal community.

What’s not allowed

Large backpacks, suitcases, and bulky luggage cannot be taken into either site.

Note that Herculaneum does not offer storage, while Pompeii has a cloakroom at the Superiore entrance.

No pets are permitted, except registered service/guide animals.

Smoking, alcohol, and prohibited substances are not allowed anywhere on-site.

Flash, tripods, and professional filming equipment may be limited in certain areas.

Accessibility

Terrain at both sites can be difficult and uneven, with partial accessibility for wheelchair users.

Those with reduced mobility may find some sections challenging.

Herculaneum includes some ramp-accessible areas, though not the entire site.

Accessible restrooms are available at both Pompeii and Herculaneum.

Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Certain paths or areas may temporarily close due to ongoing conservation work.

Opening hours:

15 Oct to 15 March: 8:30am to 5pm (last entry 3:30pm)

16 March to 14 Oct: 8:30am to 7:30pm (last entry 6pm)

Free admission on the first Sunday of each month and select public holidays.

Discounted tickets are available for eligible visitors with valid documentation.

Pompeii

Make sure the names on your booking match your ID to avoid issues at entry.

Entry is free for visitors with disabilities and one accompanying person (processed on-site).

Children under 18 can enter free with a valid ID.

Reduced pricing is available for EU residents aged 18–24 and for non-EU residents who hold Italian residence permits.

Free entry is also offered on the first Sunday of each month.

Your ticket will be emailed to you shortly.

Please show your ticket along with a valid photo ID to redeem your mobile ticket for a paper ticket.

If you have purchased reduced price tickets please show your valid photo ID proof for verification. Students must show their valid Student IDs.
