The Pompei guided tour was very good. It has covered the daily life of the people of Pompei. The fact that the area of the Pompei site is huge, a guided tour truly saves us a lot of time to explore it on our own. A BIG round of applause to our tour guide Igor, who has made the tour very interesting. Highly recommend to those who will visit the Pompei ruins to book the guided tour.

Personale informato e disponibile, area ben organizzata ma devo registrare alcuni punti in cui ho trovato la pulizia non puntuale .Non ho visto personale di servizio girare per le direttrici di passaggio e in alcune situazioni ho trovato carte e residui di cibo dentro dei resti di colonne e a terra (l'incivilta' non migliora).

Paseas por un pueblo. No se ven las ruinas desde arriba como en otras ocasiones sino que verdaderamente entras en sus casas y patios, ves sus fuentes, ves sus mosaicos, sus inscripciones y frescos... de hecho entras hasta en sus bares! Está guay, lo recomiendo :)

C'était très bien expliqué et facile de trouver l'endroit où retirer son ticket. À faire attention qu'ils essaieront de vous vendre un plan ou un audiographe en plus de celui déjà payé avec le ticket. Celui de l'application m'a suffit amplement.

Ging sehr schnell und unkompliziert; es ist auch kein Problem, dass das Ticket Office 15 Minuten von den Shuttlebussen entfernt ist - es ist direkt beim Eingang; der Ausgang dann bei den Shuttlebussen. Ergibt also eine runde Tour durch Pompej

Muy bien la llegada y la entrega física de los tickets, muy buena la atención del personal del lugar, interesante la opción del libro guía, sería bueno que estuviera incluído en el precio de la visita

Regarding email that I have send you, I have gone to an office at 1st floor near train station then this office told me to go to the door 5 minutes away from there instead of the door which was closer. when I arrived to the mentioned the lady at the desk told me that she need to see all the family members where my family was waiting at the door near to train station, then we again waited for them to walk to the door I am standing. So this experience was just losing time becuse of silly procedures, If I waited normal ticket line at the door, I could enter probably 15 minutes earlier with no difficulties so this experience was not helpful. everything could be run through digital tickets and QR code

I bought tickets with Headout online. When I arrived at the train station, I was met with a rep who said my ticket needed to be changed. I asked, why, she said to go to the desk so they can give me a regular ticket. Once at the desk, the rep said my ticket didn't come with audio anymore only a book/leaflet. They said if I wanted audio, I must pay extra 10Euro per person for a guided tour. I was shocked at this, I just wanted a headset. Once inside Pompeii I saw the audio kiosk issuing audio to guests. Although the guided tour was very good, for 2hours, I felt as though I had been scammed a little.

I really expected to walk up to the entrance and get the Boucher and walk in - arrived at the designated time but then had to stand in line for 1/2 hour - after what was suppose to be a 15 min walk from the station - one member in the party has mobile issues 1.4klm walk took 30 mins to walk there then stand in line - so no I was really happy with my experience to get in -the QR code sent Pryor could of easily been the ticket to scan at the entrance - the app was fine -

What to bring

Carry a valid photo ID, especially important for Pompeii ticket checks.

Wear comfortable walking shoes, as paths at both sites can be uneven.

Pack water, sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), as most areas are exposed.

The sites remain open in all weather, so consider bringing a light rain jacket or umbrella.

What’s not allowed

Large backpacks, suitcases, and bulky luggage cannot be taken into either site.

Note that Herculaneum does not offer storage, while Pompeii has a cloakroom at the Superiore entrance.

No pets are permitted, except registered service/guide animals.

Smoking, alcohol, and prohibited substances are not allowed anywhere on-site.

Flash, tripods, and professional filming equipment may be limited in certain areas.

Accessibility

Terrain at both sites can be difficult and uneven, with partial accessibility for wheelchair users.

Those with reduced mobility may find some sections challenging.

Herculaneum includes some ramp-accessible areas, though not the entire site.

Accessible restrooms are available at both Pompeii and Herculaneum.

Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Certain paths or areas may temporarily close due to ongoing conservation work.

15 Oct to 15 March: 8:30am to 5pm (last entry 3:30pm)

16 March to 14 Oct: 8:30am to 7:30pm (last entry 6pm)

Free admission on the first Sunday of each month and select public holidays.

Discounted tickets are available for eligible visitors with valid documentation.

Pompeii

Make sure the names on your booking match your ID to avoid issues at entry.

Entry is free for visitors with disabilities and one accompanying person (processed on-site).

Children under 18 can enter free with a valid ID.

Reduced pricing is available for EU residents aged 18–24 and for non-EU residents who hold Italian residence permits.

Free entry is also offered on the first Sunday of each month.

Please show your ticket along with a valid photo ID to redeem your mobile ticket for a paper ticket.
