Pour bien comprendre et voir les studiolo du Palazzo, cette visite est indispensable : on reçoit de nombreuses informations historiques très intéressantes, on a le temps de regarder et comprendre le fonctionnement du studiolo. The tour itself was very good. We arrived half hour early and had a hard time finding our meeting spot. For some reason the ticket office had no record of our reservation. Therefore it took a long time to be admitted and we missed the beginning of the tour. Your instructions should include the following: Meet in the open area/portico outside of the gift shop. Prior to arriving make sure you have downloaded the app that contains your virtual admission "ticket". There may not be sufficient WiFi in the building to download the app there. If you do not have a paper copy of your ticket, enter the ticket office and show them your reservation to obtain a paper ticket. This is required to join the tour.

What’s not allowed

Visitors must leave all umbrellas, backpacks, and large bags in the cloakroom.

Accessibility

This experience is not accessible by wheelchair/stroller, and is not recommended for guests with mobility issues.

Guests with disabilities can enter the museum for free. Wheelchairs & strollers may be borrowed at the cloakroom free of charge.

Visitors with mobility issues can access the building via the side entrance in Via dei Gondi. The lift, situated on the ground floor in the Cortile della Dogana, is for visitors with reduced mobility only.

Additional information

This palace is also the seat of the city council. Unfortunately, this means that on certain special occasions when institutional ceremonies are scheduled, the museum may be totally or partially closed to the public.
