Pour bien comprendre et voir les studiolo du Palazzo, cette visite est indispensable : on reçoit de nombreuses informations historiques très intéressantes, on a le temps de regarder et comprendre le fonctionnement du studiolo. La visite etait très vivante, chaleureuse et compréhensible pour des non anglophones chevronnés.

Follow a twisting path that leads to concealed chambers and private studios. From a secret vantage point, see the resplendent Salone dei Cinquecento, gazing at its vast, coffered ceiling, a masterpiece of Medici ambition.

The cherries on top

Afterwards, your skip-the-line tickets let you roam freely, from the ornate courtyard to the private Medici apartments full of frescoes and treasures of Florence’s ruling dynasty.

Please present a valid photo ID along with your ticket at the info point of Palazzo Vecchio.

What’s not allowed

Visitors must leave all umbrellas, backpacks, and large bags in the cloakroom.

Accessibility

This experience is not accessible by wheelchair/stroller, and is not recommended for guests with mobility issues.

Guests with disabilities can enter the museum for free. Wheelchairs & strollers may be borrowed at the cloakroom free of charge.

Visitors with mobility issues can access the building via the side entrance in Via dei Gondi. The lift, situated on the ground floor in the Cortile della Dogana, is for visitors with reduced mobility only.

This palace is also the seat of the city council. Unfortunately, this means that on certain special occasions when institutional ceremonies are scheduled, the museum may be totally or partially closed to the public.
