Mount Batur Sunrise Guided Jeep Tour with Black Lava Exploration, Breakfast & Hotel Transfers

Such a great experience, so lucky to have a semi clear sky. I wasn’t able to do the trek up so I opted for the jeep tour, unfortunately it doesn’t go all the way up the summit. If you love sunrises and experiences, absolutely do it and don’t be afraid to do it alone!! You start with complimentary tea or coffee and biscuits. The tour also comes with a small breakfast, nothing fancy, packaged snacks, fruits and water. Don’t forget to take it all in, the sun comes up very quickly. Bimas, my jeep driver, drove me to the black lava fields after which was pretty interesting by how much area is covered. I will come back with friends to do the hike up Mount Batur. This tour wouldn’t be so fantastic without the wonderful staff, especially: Bimas my driver for my Mount Batur Jeep tour. He is a jack of all trades, he is a great driver on the highly bumpy terrain, he is a fantastic photographer and an excellent DJ. He speaks very kindly and will make sure you are always having a good time and that you are happy with the photos he has taken. I had such a great time dancing, jamming out and feeling life in my lungs with Bimas’ energy, it was just what I needed for my last day in Bali. We really enjoyed this tour and loved how it was so seamless. Our driver for the Mount Batur trip was Mr. Ronald. He showed up on time early in the morning and was really nice and easy to talk to. He also played Bollywood songs to make us feel comfortable. The road leading up to the entrance of Mount Batur is a little rocky but he handled it very well. After this we went to Mount Batur which was practically an off roading trip across the mountain trail. Our driver was Risky who is one of kindest and nicest people that we have met in Bali - and honestly, the island is full of amazing people and but we really appreciate how he put us at ease and make my mother feel more comfortable. He took beautiful pictures of our family at the summit and even insisted on taking more time to take the view in. From there, we went to see the volcanic sand left after the last eruption. He informed us about the history of the last three eruptions in the country over the two centuries and beautifully connected it with the notion of karma which resonated with us. All in all, you’re in good hands with these guys and wouldn’t have to worry about a thing.

It was a great experience full of memorable moments. We were informed the evening before about the early pick up time by our driver to drive us to the jeep location. There we had some coffee and were offered some blankets in case we did not bring warm clothes. We then headed over to Mount Batur from where we witnessed spectacular views. The jeep driver was very friendly, he provided us with our lunch, which was very underwhelming, however the view made up for the disappointing breakfast. We then continued our trip to the black volcanic lava viewpoint, the ride there was amazing, saw rice terraces, farmer villages, lake views and much more. We then drove to the hot springs which gives you a moment to relax in warm waters overseeing the lake. The final destination was a plantation where we enjoyed some tea and coffee tasting. The experience lasted 6 hours from pick up.

This package tour was my favourite of all the tours we have done. Our driver took us to base camp at Mt Batur and then we meet with our jeep driver Arish who took us up for sunrise above the clouds and it was my favourite experience on our trip to Bali. Arish was incredible...a very experienced driver and made sure we were comfortable the whole time, he took incredible pictures and videos for us. He then took us to the black lava exploration. Arish was very knowledgeable about the mountains and the culture. We meet with our driver and then went to ATVs on the black sand which was so much fun. I highly recommend this experience, you will not regret booking 😊

We did the private jeep tour with the hot springs, lava camp and coffee taste with Derik and it was amazing! Derik was simply exceptional guide and photographer! Everything was well organized, we receive refreshments, the Luwak coffee tasting was very good, the driver pick up Depa was also quite, smooth and friendly and the tour guide Derik with his photos definitely made the difference! We really recommend to get the tour, it totally worthy to wake up early, our time and our money. For us it is a must-do!

We had a great experience with both our taxi driver, Broto, and our Jeep driver!! Our Jeep driver was very kind and did the tour together with his brother who took amazing pictures of us! Our taxi driver was very kind and waited for us through the day and safely drove us everywhere! We would definitely recommend this experience to everyone!!
