All’ingresso abbiamo trovato due postazioni per i controlli tramite bodyscanner e scanner per le borse, che comunque son state molto veloci. Appena entrati si percepisce subito, con grande stupore, la vasta profondità della moschea: in alcune zone, come l’ingresso, l’illuminazione è meno intensa, e la foresta di colonne insieme agli archi bicolore sembrano quasi susseguirsi all’infinito. Al centro dell’edificio si trova la cattedrale cristiana, incastonata nella struttura islamica: il contrasto è davvero sorprendente e dona all’insieme un’atmosfera profondamente spirituale, quasi sospesa nel tempo. Consiglio di passeggiare con calma, osservando ogni dettaglio e prendendosi il tempo per assaporare la stratificazione storica e artistica del luogo. Una visita lenta e attenta restituisce tutta la magia di questo sito unico.

Tolle Eindrücke und wir haben es genossen. Leider wusste man mit dem Audio Guide nie genau wo man war. Schlechte Wegführung. Aber sehr zufrieden empfehlen, dort hin zu gehen! Wir würden es uns noch einmal anschauen.

Keep in mind touching objects, running inside the monument, smoking, eating, drinking, hats, caps, tripod, large items and baggage are not allowed on this experience.

Keep your camera tucked away – photography is strictly not allowed at the venue.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

Strict dress code: Please note that the shoulders must be covered all the time as the mosque-cathedral is a religious space and shorts and tank tops are not allowed.

Accessibility

This experience is wheelchair accessible except the bell tower.

Your guide dogs are welcome at the venue.

Your safety comes first. So, guests with mobility issues, vertigo, anemia, dizzy spells, claustrophobia, cardiac issues, breathing issues, children below 7 years, and pregnant women are restricted from accessing the bell tower as it requires climbing a narrow staircase with relatively tall steps.
