Zermatt the alpine village. I am betting its best viewed in winters season. My October trip wasn't that awesome after having been to titlis and interlaken where snowy mountains with greens looked better to eyes. But matterhorn is still a beauty so yes if winters it will.be special where everything is covered. Otherwise this mountain is high as it gets. Great altitude coverage . Must visit if times allows. For skiing its a dreamland. Will visit again in winters.

Hi Ticket experience was great. They didn't expect anything extra just the ID number given. Other ticket providers are very challenging as tickets seem to double up. They provide you with a voucher code then they email tickets at the last minute. One was morning of a tour. Internet can be inconsistent so emails may not come through for tickets.

Die Möglichkeit bis zu 34 4000er Gipfel und 14 Gletscher zu Gesicht zu bekommen sowie die grandiose, vielvälige Aussicht bei der Selbahnfahrt zu einem angemessenen Preis. Dazu die Gletschergrotte, welche uns sehr beeindruckte. Die Bezeichnung Glacier Paradiese ist nicht übertrieben. Bemerksenswert ist Streckenführung der Bahn mit mehreren Zwischenstationen, was vielfälitge Möglichkeiten für Aus- und Zustiege bietet. Zum Beispiel bei der Rückfahrt beim Torckenen Steg auszusteigen und bei Furi wieder zuzusteigen, nachdem der Abstieg wider Erwarten bei uns stark in die Knochen gefahren war. Auch zu erwähnen beim Aufenthalt mit zwei Übernachtungen: Die Freundlichkeit und Zuvorkommenheit bei Kontakten mit Einheimischen! Zermatt empfehlen wir in jeder Beziehung gerne weiter.

Ascend from Zermatt to Europe’s highest mountain station, Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, at 3,883m for breathtaking glacier views.

Begin at the Zermatt–Matterhorn valley station and ride the Matterhorn Express gondola through meadows, forests, and hamlets until you reach Trockener Steg.

From here, board the state-of-the-art 3S cable car with heated cabins, gliding across the Theodul Glacier on your way to the summit at 3,883m – Europe’s highest mountain station.

At the summit, enjoy 360° vistas of 38 peaks and 14 glaciers, wander through the ice palace, and catch short alpine films in the cinema lounge.

Before descending, pause for regional dishes or pick up a Matterhorn souvenir to round off your visit.

Bring a valid passport or ID card.

What’s not allowed

For health reasons (altitude sickness), children aged 3 and under are not transported on the installations between Tr. Steg and Matterhorn Glacier Paradise.

Pregnant women are also not advised to participate in this experience.

Accessibility

The cable car and facilities are accessible to wheelchair users.

Additional information

Zermatt is a car-free location. To reach the meeting point, use public transportation or take a taxi.

This is not a guided tour.

Cable cars let you carry bikes up to Trockener Steg, giving you access to thrilling high-altitude trails at scenic mid-mountain stops.

Pets, specifically dogs, are welcome at Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and ride free; just keep them leashed or in a carrier as needed.

Your cable car ticket includes free access to local bus services within Zermatt.

Your ticket will be emailed to you shortly.

Display the printed voucher with a valid photo ID at the attraction.

Please arrive at the attraction on time. The cable car is operative with departure every few minutes. Bring a valid photo ID proof for verification.
