Grand old theater. Seats in the stalls ((UK for Orchestra level) were PERFECTION, despite being bought on short notice. Production was excellent. Loved that the musicians were up in the boxes! And drinks and ICE CREAM in the Interval. Sondheim's music and lyrics were funny, bawdy, scary and sad. Such fun costumes and startling special effects. A great romp to come away with lifelong memories!

What a wonderful theatre! It was perfect for intimacy; you could see and hear exceptionally! Easy to navigate, attentive staff. Drinks were delicious and themed! Lovely! The performance and orchestra was top notch. Thank you for a memorable experience! xo

Absolutely breathtaking to watch...the scene when all the stage lights went out & the boom boom of the giants truly made me jump , plus the songs and acting was spectacular , a grown up fairy tale for us adults

The stage direction and character performances were extraordinary. And this applied to every cast member. The sets amazed and the cast's timings were spot on. Stand out single performances were the Princes (Agony delighted) and the Witch. The stand out from the play itslef was the clever lines and lyrics -- Sondheim, of course, cannot be beat. Only disappointment for me (us, actually) was that the second half realism somewhat spoiled the first-half's whimsey and fairy-tale truth. I can see it being necessary but still it left a bittersweet tang in the mind. Nevertheless, a crackling, funny show with fairy (both good and bad) heart.

The story
