Schatzkammer und Museum sind unbedingt sehenswert. Headout sollte aber besser beschreiben, dass man das Ticket an der Kasse noch umgetauscht werden muss, da die Einrichtungen den QR-Code nicht einlesen können. Abgesehen davon musste ich erst anrufen und mich durchtelefonieren mit einem englischsprachigen Callcenter, wie ich an mein Ticket komme.

Non abbiamo avuto problemi per l' ingresso. Orario di prenotazione perfetto. Il Palazzo stupendo, la mostra un piacere per gli occhi. Essendo molto ricca non sono riuscita a visitarla tutta, motivo in più per ritornarci. Ps: anche se la pinacoteca può non piacere a tutti, solo il Palazzo vale il costo del biglietto.

La extensa muestra de la cultra griega, la romana y de pintores como Brueghel , Rembrandt y Rubens. El lugar es fantástico, tiene un restaurante muy llindo, muy bien atendido y con comida muy rica.

We focussed on the outstanding collection of painting, though we would have loved to have time to see the rest on other floors. You need a whole day there to do that and we only had about 4 hours. The museum itself is justifiably considered an architectural gem and the staircase certainly lives up to its reputation. We found the paintings displayed in an easy-to-appreciate format: the displayed collections were not too big and not too small, so we could appreviate each item. The rooms prioritise balance and calm which we really appreciated. The cafe, where we had an early lunch, is architecturally glorious and not more expensive than elsewhere - but expect queues as it is small and, when we went, understaffed. We can imagine that at peak times the wait might be very long. Next time we'll make sure we spend the whole day there .

Haben die Micheline Wautier Ausstellung gesehen, geführt von Manuel Kreiner. Durch seine fachliche Kompetenz habe ich Details wahrgenommen, die mir mit einem Audioguide nicht aufgefallen wären. Er versteht es gekonnt Zusammenhänge und Details zu vermitteln! Es ist ein Glücksfall dass für diese Malerin eine Ausstellung statt findet!

Getting started

The museum is located on Maria-Theresien-Platz, with the main entrance at the front of the building, facing the square, with clear signs to guide you inside. If you've selected the guided tour option, meet your English-speaking guide at the entrance at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Your guide will give a brief orientation and ensure that you're ready to bypass the queues with skip-the-line access, so you can head straight into the museum.

A world of imperial treasures & Habsburg heritage

Wander through the grand halls of the Kunsthistorisches Museum, home to celebrated Renaissance and Baroque works by Caravaggio, Titian, and Velázquez. Marvel at their stunning array of royal artifacts that showcase the wealth and power of the Habsburg dynasty. Admire beautifully crafted goldsmith work, regal jewelry, and other opulent pieces that once belonged to emperors and empresses.

What to bring

If you’ve chosen the combo tour, note that the Kunsthistorisches Museum is closed on Mondays, and the Leopold Museum is closed on Tuesdays. Plan your visit for any other day or take advantage of the 3-month validity to visit each museum on separate occasions.

The small-group tour requires at least 4 participants; if this isn't met, you'll be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
