Loved the experience and really well organised so no long wait, the views were incredible would recommend for anyone. The only negative I found were staff were very moody when queuing up and getting off the ride with no interaction. We did catch the Uber boat afterwards which added to the trip

Everything was well explained on the app, we found the entry really quickly, the staff was super nice and the views from the cabins were fantastic. I deffo recommend booking this activity to see the other side of London

Beautiful sunset, amazing skyscrapers and whole wiev on the river, buildings and even airport. All of that in the birthday of my beautiful girlfriend! That visit made her so happy:)

Selecting 2 tickets was straight forward and having the purchased ticket available via your cellphone or printout made it convenient. We used the opportunity to get a grand view of London's Docklands area. From the O2 Centre to the very River Thames itself. It presented an ever changing cityscape showing architecture amazing in design. We saw it rain, and sunshine in varying measure, an amazing site.

Getting started

Begin at either IFS Royal Victoria Docks or IFS Greenwich Peninsula. Have your voucher ready for validation and follow staff guidance. Board your cabin when directed and set off over the river.

What to expect

IFS Cloud Cable Car

Linking Greenwich Peninsula with the Royal Docks, this is the UK’s first and only urban cable car, offering elevated views across London.

Features:

Skyline vantage points: Spot Canary Wharf, The Shard, St Paul’s Cathedral, and more from 90m above the Thames.

Flexible departure: Start at either terminal and enjoy a round trip across the river.

Flexible return: Stay onboard for a full round trip or disembark and explore either terminal, returning anytime on the same day.

Evening ambience: After sunset, city lights add a striking perspective to the crossing.

Cable car history: Cap off your trip by exploring the cable car’s story at the London Cable Car Experience near IFS Greenwich Peninsula.

What’s not allowed

E-scooters, e-bikes and e-unicycles are prohibited on the IFS Cloud Cable Car in line with TfL policy.

Accessibility

This experience is wheelchair accessible.

The maximum weight for wheelchairs is 300kg, and the maximum size is 700mm by 1300mm.

You get on and off through the same doors, so there may not be enough space for you to turn around. This means you may have to reverse your wheelchair or scooter to get in or out of the cars.

The cable cars can be slowed down to allow you plenty of time to board.

Electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters must be turned off inside the cars.

This experience may not be suitable for guests with vertigo, motion sensitivity, acrophobia (fear of heights), heart conditions, or anxiety disorders.

For your convenience, your guide dogs are welcome to join you.

Additional information

Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time to allow for boarding procedures.

Tickets are valid only for the date selected at the time of booking.

You can either remain in the car and return to your starting terminal or get off at the opposite terminal and make your return at any time on the same day.

The cars arrive every 30 seconds and carry up to 10 people.

One-way journeys take up to 10 minutes but vary according to passenger flow and weather conditions.

The IFS Cloud Cable Car may temporarily close due to lightning and thunder in the immediate area or very strong winds.

Bicycles are accepted on the IFS Cloud Cable Car at all times. Guests with bicycles travel for free on the cable car before 10:30am on weekdays, excluding bank holidays.

Children under the age of five travel free (when accompanied by a fare-paying adult). Children up to the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Pets are allowed in the cars but must be carried at all times.
