Before going to Italy we hadn't heard of Herculaneum, but got recommended. We were blown away, the guide was amazing, giving lots of facts and information but well timed and funny as well. The artifacts at Herculaneum as fascinating, you really can see how people lived. The skeletons in the arches are so humbling. The preservation is unbelievable A must see for anyone holidaying in Italy. Definetly recommending to my friends and family

This was the best of 3 tours we went on, others being Pompeii and the Vatican. Giovanni kindly phoned us beforehand to make sure we were on our way. We could use bathroom beforehand. Giovanni was not only knowledgeable but interesting too and had us captivated. He wanted us to ask questions. Hardly had time to stop for photographs but there was a lot to see. He had change of earpieces for those that didn't work. These were the most comfortable of all and didn't keep falling of ear like others did. It's very dusty there so don't wear best clothes! As most people say, I preferred Herculaneum to Pompeii because you feel like you've seen it all unlike Pompeii where you only see a small section really as it's so vast. It was Giovanni that made the tour and came away feeling very happy.

Discovering the ruins and the Romans

The Herculaneum Archaeological Park is one of the best-preserved sites in the world. Finding out interesting stories of this site and how the 4000-5000 inhabitants lived here, is going to be a treat for you on this 2-hour guided tour. It is recommended that you wear comfortable walking shoes to hustle through the rocky paths of the site.

Pack light snacks as there are no cafes inside, except at the entrance.

Carry along a water bottle, sunglasses, hat, and sunscreen.
