Absolutely worth it! Dolmabahçe Palace is stunning, and having access to the Harem adds a lot to the experience. The audio guide was easy to use and provided enough information without feeling overwhelming. The Bosphorus cruise was a great bonus, offering beautiful views of Istanbul from the water. The only thing to keep in mind is that "skip-the-line" doesn't completely eliminate waiting, as security checks are still required. Overall, a great combination for anyone wanting to experience both the grandeur of the palace and the beauty of the Bosphorus in one day.

La visita estuvo bien pero la hicimos sin audio guías porque había que recogerlas antes de hacer la cola de entrada. Cuando quisimos darnos cuenta había que retroceder lo andado y volver a hacer la cola.

Visited Dolmabahçe Palace and honestly, it lived up to the hype. The place is unreal, the detail, the size, the chandelier… everything feels next level. Booking tickets online was straightforward and saved time. We walked straight in with no hassle, other than queing for scurity check-in, ehich was pretty quick despite the queue being long. The audio guide was actually worth using, eveb though one of then did pkay up a little, but it added proper context to what you’re seeing. We even managed to take so many photos inside, which made it even better because it’s one of those places you want to remember properly. The Bosphorus views from inside the palace are stunning, and the whole experience just feels grand from start to finish. Only thing, it can get busy, so timing matters. Overall, definitely worth it if you’re in Istanbul. Not just another tourist spot, this one actually delivers.

Le palais de Dolmabahçe est une véritable merveille à découvrir en Turquie. Le cadre est tout simplement exceptionnel, avec un paysage magnifique bordé par le Bosphore, offrant une vue à couper le souffle. La visite est particulièrement bien organisée grâce à un parcours clair et fluide, permettant de ne rien manquer des richesses du palais. Chaque salle impressionne par son élégance, ses détails raffinés et son histoire fascinante. Les jardins, quant à eux, sont absolument sublimes : parfaitement entretenus, paisibles et idéals pour prolonger la visite dans une atmosphère sereine. Une expérience inoubliable qui allie beauté, culture et émerveillement. À ne surtout pas manquer lors d’un séjour à Istanbul !

Skip the line entry was quick and easy. Audio guide was a little temperamental but did worked out very well. The audio guide was the best system getting narrations from different exhibits. Dolmabahce Palace is very large and has many interesting things to see, unlike some of the mosques. Take lots of pictures.

Bring a valid ID or passport to collect your audio guide. If you do not have one, a €200 refundable deposit must be left at the entrance and will be returned when you return the device at the exit.

Wear comfortable footwear, as you will spend a lot of time walking on marble floors and using staircases.

Choose modest clothing to respect the site's cultural and historical importance.

What’s Not Allowed

Photography is not permitted inside, so please keep your camera packed away.

Only the official audio guide provided with your ticket is accepted. Personal or third-party audio guides are not allowed.

Accessibility

The palace's ground floor is accessible for wheelchair users, but access to upper levels is limited.

Additional Information

Your ticket lets you skip the main entry line, but all visitors must pass through security. In the busy summer months from June to August, the wait at security can be up to 30 minutes.

Tickets will be sent to your email one day before your visit. If you book on the same day, your ticket will be sent immediately. Check both your inbox and spam folder.

Guests with pre-booked tickets can enter the venue until 4 pm.

For a more relaxed visit, go on a weekday and arrive close to the 9 am opening time.

Exploring the Selamlık, Harem, and gardens usually takes between one and two hours. You may want to allow more time if you plan to visit additional exhibits or take breaks.

The palace café offers tea and snacks with views of the Bosphorus, and the gift shop has a selection of souvenirs to browse.
