Der Dogenpalast und Markusdom an sich selbst. Es fehlt der deutliche Hinweis, dass der Audioguide auf das eigene Handy geladen werden muss und somit nur Bluetooth Kopfhörer funktionieren. Teils schlechter Empfang im Dom und gar kein Audioguide imDogenpalast. Tickets für die Terasse im Dom konnten aufgrund technischer Schwierigkeiten gar nicht gebucht werden.

Everything about the trip was great, except when we were verbally abused by Security at Doge's Palace. I was waiting for my wife to clear security and to follow me through. He screamed at me to go through. My wife told him not to shout and be rude. The Security man was incredibly rude to us, shouting at both of us: 'vaffanculo.' How do staff treat customers this way! Disgusting.

Overall, the tour was nice. The process for entry into the venue went smoothly and we had no issues. For me, it was a little underwhelming in terms of the overall experience and lengh of the tour.

Head directly to the Basilica entrance with your tickets. Your audio guide will begin as you enter. A valid ID is required for security checks at the entrance. Note that proper attire is mandatory; no shorts or tank tops are allowed.
