We were extremely excited, although it was difficult at first to make our way through the huge crowds. But when we finally saw the Colosseum, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I said to my friends, “Damn, guys, we made it! We’re in Rome, and this legendary giant is standing right in front of us!” Do you know how difficult it is for us to get to Rome? Maybe only two out of twenty people ever get the chance to come here. We are Hungarian, and “Kevert” is a special Hungarian short drink, similar to pálinka. All four of us had one in front of the Colosseum. We joked that we might be the first Hungarians ever to drink Kevert there and become part of the Guinness World Records. Then we entered the Colosseum, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. The security guards were very kind. We thought about everything we had learned at school, but we also imagined scenes from the movie Gladiator. After exploring the Colosseum, we visited the Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. Walking among the ancient ruins, monuments, and remains made us imagine what life in ancient Rome must have looked like.

Zuerst einmal, wie an anderer Stelle schon erwähnt, völlig unkomplizierte Buchung über euch. 👍🏻 Und es war ein schönes Erlebnis, diese historischen Stätten nicht nur zu betreten, sondern erkunden zu können! Allerdings sollte man sich diese Tour wirklich auf zwei Tage aufteilen 🙈 was ja problemlos möglich ist, da die Tickets 24 Stunden ab erster Stätte gültig sind 😉 Möchte man alles in einem Ritt erkunden, wie wir... dann ist man platt und hat locker 30000 Schritte auf der Uhr 😅🤦🏻‍♂️ Einzigster Kritikpunkt: Bitte genauer beschreiben, wo genau man die Tickets für die Buchung der Tour abholt... Für euch Bucher, zwei Stationen vor dem Kolosseum aussteigen aus dem Bus, dann zum beschriebenen Meetingpoint gehen, Tickets holen und dann erst zum Kolosseum fahren... spart Zeit und Nerven. Mit Kolosseum beginnen, dann würde ich den Palatin empfehlen, da Eintritt in unmittelbarer Nähe ist... den nächsten Tag das Forum. Oder halt umgekehrt 🤷🏻‍♂️😉

We had an absolutely fantastic guided tour of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and the Roman Forum! It was truly an unforgettable experience. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the history of Ancient Rome. They brought everything to life and made the tour interesting and enjoyable from beginning to end. Walking through the Colosseum and imagining what life was like thousands of years ago was amazing. Palatine Hill was beautiful, with incredible views, and the Roman Forum was simply fascinating. Having a guide to explain the history and stories behind everything made such a big difference. We learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome. A wonderful experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! Thank you for making our visit to Rome so special!

I would highly recommend this tour. Our guide was fantastic! She was extremely knowledgable and gave a wonderful tour, we leaned a lot. We were just visiting Rome for a few days so our time was precious. We could never have seen as much if we had to wait on the long lines for tickets and to enter. Also, there are separate entry lines for guided tours which make entry faster. Travelers should be prepared to walk a lot with lot of stairs, it would have we had waited in the long lines to buy tickets, which would have sapped alot of energy we needed to properly view the Colosseum. Overall, it was well worth the price.

Nous avons vécu une super expérience ! La personne qui nous attendait sur le point de rendez-vous était vraiment super gentille, il nous a donné des conseils très utiles pour gagner du temps et aussi pour les restaurants et les choses à visiter dans la ville. Petit bonus il parlait français !! Le Colisée est un monument absolument magnifique chargé d'histoire ! Le mont Palatin et le forum Romain sont des musées à ciel ouvert ! Très bonne expérience, facilité d'accès et entrée rapide (à 8h30 en tout cas !).

The Colosseum & its rich history is fascinating. The guide made it come alive. She gave us the background of Rome's history and the created a visual drama of being part of the great show put up by the Roman Emperors. The Roman Forum & Palatine Hills was even better. It was unbelievable to see that such a magnificent urban city existed in the 3rd & 4th century BC! Keep up the good work of having knowledgeable guides.

Inizialmente dubitavo sull'acquisto del bigleitto tramite Headout non essendo un sito ufficiale dei Beni Culturali, ma mi sono dovuto ricredere, poichè siamo riusciti ad accedere nell'rario indicato senza alcun tipo di problema. Soprattuto siamo rimasti entusiasti dell'audioguida, che ci ha guidato passo dopo passo nella visita al Colosseo. Veramente consigliato l'utilizzo di Headout.

Rome est une très belle ville , à voir absolument ! Le site Headout réservation pour les entrées des différents monuments que nous avons visité est très simple d'utilisation. Les tickets d'accès aux différents sites vous sont délivrés quelques jours avant et actifs en temps voulu. Je recommande le site HEADOUT Je recommande le site

The most memorable part for me was standing inside the Colosseum and finally seeing how huge it really is. I had seen so many photos before, but being there in person made me realize just how massive and impressive the whole place is. It felt completely different from anything I had expected.

The tour guides were the best, they make the trip all the more enjoyable and their storytelling keep us engaged through out the trip. Given it was 2-3 hours, they made it fly by soon. The skip the line tickets are the best, no hassles at the security check and literally a walk in the park.

Arrive at the Colosseum at your selected time and breeze past the queues at on-site sales counter with reserved entry. Have your ID ready for verification, and pass through a quick security check before stepping inside.

Walk into one of the most iconic landmarks of Ancient Rome, where gladiators once battled for glory.

Seating rows & Museum

Stand where spectators once cheered and visit the on-site museum on Level 2, showcasing artifacts from the Colosseum’s past.

Roman Forum & Palatine Hill

Enjoy the flexibility to visit these historic sites within 24 hours, wandering through the ruins of temples, palaces, and ancient marketplaces.

Optional upgrades

Choose an audio guide, an immersive multimedia video, or an English guidebook to deepen your understanding of Ancient Rome.

Upgrade your pass to access the Arena Floor, where fierce battles once took place, or visit the Mamertine Prison, where history’s most notorious figures were held.

What to bring

A valid photo ID is required for all participants and must match the name on the reservation.

Download your audio guide in advance on the Headout app and bring charged headphones if applicable.

What’s not allowed

Objects such as large bags, sharp items and loose electronics must be placed in the X-ray tray during security screening.

Additional information

If your access includes Mamertine Prison, your visit must begin there and you must arrive at least 1 hour before your Colosseum time slot to collect your entry ticket.

Timed access applies to the Colosseum only; Forum and Palatine Hill can be visited anytime within 24 hours but each entrance may be used only once.

Note that there are 2 entrances: one for the Colosseum, and another for the Roman Forum & Palatine Hill (combined). You may enter each entrance ONLY ONCE and not re-enter.

The security check can take 30 mins or more. To make the process quicker, please insert any object (including mobile phone) in the bag/backpack or in the tray to be included in the X-ray.

Each site has different opening hours, so check in advance. Plan around 2–3 hours for the Colosseum, 1–1.5 hours each for Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum, and 30–45 minutes for Mamertine Prison.
