As you face the castle, its terracotta roofs, soaring towers, and sweeping arches will sweep you off your feet. Beyond its walls lie ornate staircases, majestic halls, and opulent chambers.

Engage in a mix of history and folklore

Dressed in Gothic attire, your guide will unveil dark tales from the 15th to the 17th century when the Ottoman Empire invaded the region, leading to conflicts and power struggles. Brace yourself for chilling stories of Elizabeth Bathory, the 'blood countess' who murdered numerous young women, and the Romanian prince Vlad Dracula, who impaled enemies on a sharp stake and ended up in the castle's prison. With a lantern illuminating your path through the castle's eerie streets and mysterious corners, your guide will share folklore of vampires that once haunted these streets of Hungary. What to bring

Since the tour runs in all weather conditions, it is recommended to dress appropriately in winter and to wear a raincoat or bring an umbrella in case of rain.

Children under 11 are not allowed in this experience.

Since the tour ends up at the Buda Castle district, it is possible to return back to the starting point or Pest side by bus with the guide escorting you.
