An excellent way to experience a lot of interesting animals, including gentle patting of kangaroos! Compact and easier for children and those who don't like long walks! Tickets via Headout accidently charged for an extra adult but after notififying at Ballarat Wildlife Park on entry, Headout were prompt and polite with the important refund after I emailed. Thanks Ballarat Wildlife Park for a wonderful time with my grandchildren (7&10yrs) and thanks to Headout!

We had an amazing time at the Ballarat Wildlife Park! Using the Headout tickets at the entrance was super quick and easy, which got our day off to a great start. The staff were some of the kindest I have ever met. Getting up close to the koalas and seeing the incredible reptiles was unforgettable. We also fed the kangaroos, and they were such cute animals! It was my first time seeing these animals and the penguins. Thank you to the Ballarat Wildlife Park for providing this experience. I highly recommend it!

The park was great and my son loved it, especially being able to feed the kangaroos. Also loved the gift shop. Only compliant was they needed more staff at entrance and have line for pre booked tickets and also more staff at cafe, very slow service.

Smooth, friendly staff at entry and throughout the Park. The Park is clean, open spaces, no animal smell. Love the Kangaroos, so used to people, you can feed them from your hands, pet them, take photos with them. Coffee shop on site is a bonus and gift shop too.

Enjoy live shows that educate about different snakes, wombats, and birds of prey. Don't miss the Little Penguin exhibit, the world's smallest penguin species, and the only one found on the Australian mainland. The park is also a home to six new meerkats and five new koala joeys, making your visit more exciting. Main Street at Sovereign Hill is a gentle slope; however, other areas of the site are quite steep. All roads are accessible by wheelchair, but some visitors could find the gravel surfaces difficult to manage.

The wheelchair rental is free but subject to availability, stroller rental is $10.

Occupants of wheelchairs must be accompanied by a capable carer or companion.

Wheelchair and other accessibility requirements must be notified at the time of booking.

What's not allowed

Due to operational requirements, restrictions on motorized and non-motorized wheelchairs apply.

On weekends and holidays, all the weekday presentations are available, with the addition of the Crocodilian presentation at 3pm.
