I recently visited The Rink at American Dream located inside American Dream mall on a Tuesday noon, and I had a great experience. It was a decent amount of people on the ice, but not crowded at all, which made it really enjoyable. I booked my ticket online without any issues, even on short notice, and check-in was super easy and quick. Admission was $35, and skate rental was included, which I think is a nice bonus. I know some days are $25, but for a last-minute booking, I was happy with it. I got about an hour of skating time, which felt just right. I do wish there was a bit more music playing. I didn’t want to use my EarPods because I prefer to hear what’s happening around me on the ice for safety reasons. The rental skates are a bit rough and sturdy since they’re made to last, so I highly recommend wearing long, thick socks. Make sure your skates feel comfortable before stepping onto the ice - some areas might need loosening. For me, it was around the middle of my foot. It wasn’t my first time skating, so I came prepared with thick socks and had no discomfort during or after skating. Overall, I was very happy with my visit and would definitely go back when I have some free time again.

The ice was great, the temperature was nice since most ice rinks are extremely cold. The issue is with this rink is that they use the seals for kids to use and that causes a hazard on ice besides people going the wrong direction that has never been on ice before. It is not a place that you can relax and skate you must stay on guard the whole time.

As beginners, our children had an awesome time practicing with their skates that were available for rental. They especially enjoyed skating with the "walkers" to assist them! Thanks for a fun outing!
