It doesn't matter how many times we saw the David in every reproduction, it' s not the same as seeing the real masterpiece. Luigia Giusto, our guide, was so knowladgeable and so eager to explain and answer any question that she made our visit a really memorable one. We'll never forget the beauty and the genius all around us.

Having a guide was so helpful for navigating us to the high points of the acadamia and dealing with the crowds of people. I learned a great deal the history of the acadamia and details i never knew about David and Michelangelo.

Klasse... kein langes Warten in der üblichen Schlange und ne angenehme Führung. Danach kann man noch solange in der Ausstellung bleiben wie man möchte. Uns hat es sehr gefallen.

The fellows doing check in were good and organised, and very professionally helped people who weren't booked in on our tour to find their group. We skipped the line in easily. Galya was knowledgeable and fun. She told us so many interesting facts and stories, and took lots of photos of us in front of David, and was very patient with our questions. I left my sun hat at security on the way in but didn't notice till near the end of the tour. Galya happily came with me and spoke to a guard and my hat and I were reunited. One of our group wandered off before giving back her radio thingy. Galya chased her down and retrieved it nicely. I highly recommend her and this tour.

What’s not allowed

No luggage, large backpacks, helmets, or items over 40×30×18 cm; there is no cloakroom.

Food, drinks, and pets are not permitted (only guide dogs, service dogs, and certified therapy pets are allowed).

Flash photography, tripods, selfie sticks, and filming equipment are prohibited.

Mobile phones must be on silent or switched off inside exhibition spaces.

Accessibility

The tour is not wheelchair accessible.

Additional information

Arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow time for security checks and to avoid potential wait times. Late arrivals may not be accommodated.

You can skip ticket lines, but all guests must pass through a security check before entering.

Note: On International Women’s Day (March 8), all women enjoy free admission to the Accademia Gallery, however, security checks still apply.
