Your lesson includes a surfboard, wetsuit, rash shirt, leg rope, and sunscreen, so you have the key gear needed for your time in the water. Change rooms, showers, and storage are also available for use before and after your lesson.

What to expect

Start with a 2-hour surf lesson

Begin with an instructor-led lesson covering the basics you need to get comfortable in the water. The session is designed to help you build your surfing skills while practising with your board.

Take part in a 2-hour surf lesson with guidance throughout the session.

Practise your surfing skills

Work through the fundamentals of surfing with your instructor and put what you learn into practice in the water. The lesson gives you time to work on your balance, positioning, and technique as you build confidence on the board.

Apply your instructor's guidance as you practise catching and riding waves.

Use sunscreen provided as part of your session to help protect your skin while you're outdoors.

Continue practising on the water with your surfboard and safety equipment throughout the lesson.

Use the on-site facilities

You can use the facilities provided as part of your surf experience before and after your time in the water.

Change in the change rooms before or after your lesson.

Use the shower after surfing.

Keep your belongings in the available storage while you take part in the activity.

Wrapping up

If you want more individual instruction, choose the private surf lesson option. This gives you a one-on-one lesson rather than the standard session. After your lesson, change using the change rooms, rinse off in the shower, and collect your belongings from storage.
