Temple on a high cliff

History enthusiasts and architecture aficionados will be thrilled to visit the iconic Uluwatu Temple, perched on a cliff 70 meters above the Indian Ocean. This stunning temple, built in the 11th century, is one of the six most important temples in Bali, known as the "sad kahyangan" or the "six sanctuaries of the world." It is believed to protect the island from evil spirits and is an important spiritual pillar for the Balinese people.

Your knowledgeable local guide will take you on a fascinating journey through the temple's rich history and cultural significance. After the guided portion, you'll have plenty of time to explore the temple grounds at your leisure, soaking in the breathtaking views of the ocean and the lush greenery surrounding the site.

Kecak show with a backdrop of a stellar sunset

The captivating show is a harmonious blend of traditional Balinese song, dance, and storytelling, accompanied by a hypnotic chorus of human voices. As the sun sets over the horizon, you'll be treated to a spectacular display of talent and artistry, with the performers moving gracefully against the backdrop of the vast ocean and the striking colors of the evening sky. This unforgettable experience is a true feast for the senses and a highlight of any visit to the Uluwatu Temple.
