Emiliano was an absolutely fantastic tour guide! So friendly, authentic, and with a wonderful sense of humor. We learned so many interesting things from him, and thanks to him we will always remember the Capuchin Crypt and the Catacombs as an outstanding experience. Highly recommended! ❤️ And Emiliano: we’re sorry we didn’t join the church visit afterwards, we were hungry, grumpy, and whining like little kids 🤣 so we thought we’d just visit it over the next few days instead. It truly had nothing to do with you. We would choose you again anytime as our tour guide in Rome! 🌷❤️

Our Catacombs tour was a great experience. Maria is an intelligent and funny guide. She is well rehearsed in the history of the area. She was captivatingly interesting to listen to. She was even kind enough to give additional directions to the subway at the end. We definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the Catacombs! Although no pictures are permitted in the catacombs there is plenty of other areas to take photos for memories.

When we got there I hadn't downloaded the app ( technophobe 😂) the man behind the counter got to work working his magic & got the other ticket & as for the exhibition itself was really good throuh the headphones telling the story & the artifacts & paintings & of course the bone museum was amazing as well - well worth the visit & glad we done it

We stonden nog geen 5 min in de rij voor de crypte of we konden al doorlopen met ons ticket. We kregen gelijk de headset aangereikt, kregen een korte toelichting en we waren er klaar voor. Ook het aankopen van de tickets was heel gemakkelijk, duidelijk en heel fijn dat ze zo lang geldig zijn.

Head to Via Vittorio Veneto 27 and wait outside, near the bronze gate. That’s where you’ll meet your group. After a quick ticket check and short introduction, you’ll enter the crypt together.

The Capuchin Crypt is a remarkable religious site beneath the Church of Santa Maria della Concezione, renowned for its chapels decorated with the bones of thousands of Capuchin friars. This site offers a unique perspective on Roman Catholic traditions and the history of the Capuchin order.

The crypt is located beneath the Church of Santa Maria della Concezione.

Operating hours are daily from 9:30am to 6:30pm (last entry at 5:30pm), from 2nd January to 30th December.

The site is popular and may be busy during peak hours.

The visit typically lasts 30–40 minutes.
