At first apprehensive, I mustered the strength to travel alone via train from Lisbon to Sintra. By the end of the day, I made a new friend that I met in the Initiation Well in Quinta de Regaleiira! A truly enchanted place indeed! The lush nature and fantasy-like castle was breathtaking after being in the city-life of Lisbon. Pena Palace was also stunning, I enjoyed the view of the Atlantic Ocean, the city below, and the fresh air from the Queen's Terrace. I rode tuk tuks and walked, enjoying the fresh air. I wandered around the Seteais Palace and saw a hedge maze! I had pastry and croissant in the city center, then shared a taxi to Cascais with my new soul sister! We rode back to Lisbon together. This is a must do experience, I would like to do it again, with no phone (and add the Monserrate Palace & Park)! I felt like Queen for a day, mi castle, tu castle!!! Highly recommend and would so again!

Es un lugar muy bonito y totalmente recomendable. Vale la pena conocerlo y disfrutar de sus paisajes y monumentos. Eso sí, se camina bastante, por lo que es fundamental llevar calzado cómodo. Mi recomendación es subir hasta el lugar en autobús, especialmente porque el camino tiene bastante pendiente. Si subes caminando, probablemente llegarás más cansado y gastarás energía que necesitarás para recorrer después Quinta da Regaleira, donde también hay mucho que caminar. ⚠️ Un consejo muy importante: lleva las entradas compradas con antelación. No recomiendo ir a comprarlas directamente en el lugar, ya que puede que no haya disponibilidad para ese día y corras el riesgo de perder la visita. Planificar y reservar previamente te permitirá aprovechar mucho mejor el tiempo.

Tivemos uma experiência verdadeiramente memorável. O lugar carrega uma aura mística impressionante, com os seus jardins frondosos, túneis secretos e construções cheias de simbolismo. O ponto alto foi, sem dúvida, a descida pelo Poço Iniciático: aquele espiral subterrâneo faz-nos sentir como se estivéssemos num portal para outra dimensão, descendo ao coração da terra. Explorar as passagens escondidas, descobrir os recantos entre as pedras e partilhar o fascínio de cada detalhe em boa companhia tornou o dia ainda mais especial. Foi uma jornada incrível, rodeada de mistério, história e uma energia única que nos acompanhou do início ao fim. Uma visita simplesmente maravilhosa e inesquecível

Quinta de Regaleira was one of the highlights of my trip! The estate is absolutely stunning, with beautiful gardens, hidden pathways, mysterious tunnels, and incredible architecture around every corner. The Initiation Well was especially amazing and something I had never experienced before. Exploring the underground tunnels and discovering all the hidden features throughout the property made the visit feel like a real adventure. There is so much to see and explore, so I would definitely recommend allowing plenty of time rather than rushing through. The combination of history, architecture, nature, and mystery makes Quinta de Regaleira a truly unique place.

Visiting the Pena palace and Quinta da Regaleria was a one of a kind experience. The colors of the palace and the surrounding gardens made me think like I was in Alice in Wonderland. The gardens were mesmerizing we had fun exploring them. Talking abour Quinta da Regaleria will never be enough, to express what we experienced. So mysterious, a journey of the soul and very mystical. It was like nothing we had seen before. Overall it was a wonderful day and ironically the last day in Portugal for us. Couldn't recommend enough for everyone that goes to Portugal to visit these places, it is a MUST!!

This place is absolutely stunning. We made our way to the famous well straight away which already had long queues but it's the standout attraction for this area. A couple of things to note; the staff are very strict on the tour times so you can only enter 15mins before your booking time with one hours grace after. Also, a taxi can't take you straight to the area so you will have to walk from the centre of Sintra (10-15min walk uphill). However, it's definitely worth visiting with lots of opportunities to take stunning photos.

Questo è un luogho veramente suggestivo, tanto che a distanza di 1 settimana dalla visita ho sognato un posto magico dove una sirena nuotava tra torri coperte da muschio in mezzo alle montagne... merita una visita, Luogho unico, troppo sconosciuto rispetto a quella che è la sua bellezza. Consiglio di visitarlo di mattina presto per trovare un po'meno gente🍀🐌🐞🌼🌲

The palace and the gardens are accessible for wheelchairs, with ramps and elevators. However, due to their historic nature, some areas may be challenging to access.

If you can, avoid driving into Sintra; the streets are narrow, parking is limited, and traffic can be challenging, especially in peak season.

Should you drive, park in Sintra town center and enjoy the 30-minute scenic walk to Quinta da Regaleira. Public transport is your best bet to get to Quinta stress-free.
