We booked a 2 hour guided tour, but stayed later to see more of the site and took a local train to and from Naples (very easy to do this.) I am so pleased we booked the skip the line tour. It saved all the hassle of the entry gate and the guide brought us straight into the site. She was full of knowledge and kept us going at a good pace through some of the main areas. Without her, we would have stayed too long at some areas and missed a lot. In 2 hours we saw a lot of the main buidlings and got a good impression of the whole site, so we were able to go and see more of the villas and streets after the tour. This is definitely the way to see Pompeii if it is your first visit. I have used this company before, in Rome, and they are organised and reliable.

Nous avons été fascinés par notre visite guidée de Pompei... tellement de chose à voir, et tellement important aussi d'essayer de se projeter mentalement dans l'évènement catastrophique de l'an 79. Notre guide était facile à comprendre et très compétent. Nous avons cependant trouvé qu'un peu trop de temps était passé à insister sur le lupanar et de tous les symboles sexuels rencontrés sur le site. D'autres aspects plus intéressant auraient pu être un peu plus développés (vie des familles, vie politique, économique, sportive, culturelle...) Nous avions fait l'ascension du Vesuve la veille de la visite des ruines et l'ensemble a été une experience très complète et très riche.

Unser Guide Giulia war echt super. Sie verfügte über tolle Fachkompetenz, es hat sie sichtlich selber interessitert, sie hat extrem viel erzählen können, man konnte sich wirklich in die Geschichte hineinversetzen. In ca. 2h ein sehr guter und informativer Überblick über das Leben der Römer zu der Zeit, wir haben echt viel gelernt. Sie hat das ganze sehr lustig und unterhaltsam vermittelt. Auch dass wir aufgrund des Zuges leicht zu spät gekommen sind war kein Problem, sie hat auf uns gewartet. Kann die Tour mit Archäologen nur weiterempfehlen!

Superbe visite avec notre guide archéologue parfaitement bilingue qui en plus des connaissances qu'il a pu nous faire passer a eu la gentillesse et la patience de répondre à toute nos questions. Nous étions seulement six participants dans le groupe et cela a rendu les choses fluides. Conseillons de bien prendre l'option avec la maison des délices.
