Visite très agréable et intéressante avec Adriano B. Une visite guidée au top. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'itinéraire choisi et la qualité du français dans nos oreilles. Le bonus villa des Mystères est vraiment beau. Mais la visite de base du site est déjà très complète. A faire de préférence le matin pour visiter tout ce qu'il reste à visiter l'après midi.

We booked a 3 hour guided tour. After booking I thought it was maybe a bit much to listen for 3 hours but it was worth it!! The guide was great! She walked and talked us through the parts of the city with humor and she was very pleasant to listen to. She knew a lot and is a great teacher. (Later we found out we should give the gide a tip. We didn't realise at the time and are sorry because she is worth it).

Guida preparatissima purtroppo tour partito con 20 minuti di ritardo e con 24 persone anziché 20 come numero massimo come era indicato nella prenotazione in ogni caso è stata un esperienza positiva da rifare!

Greeted at the meeting point by the very happy, cheerful Daniele. He was exceptionally organised and clear with his instructions. We were taken through by our guide, Michele (Michael), he was incredibly knowledgeable, connected with the group, and entertaining. The walk was quite challenging and exhausting, navigating some difficult terrain at times over 3 hours. It’s definitely not a tour for people with mobility issues. However, it was fascinating to explore the site and learning so much history from Michele. I nearly chose to do this tour independently, but following advice from a close friend, I’m glad I chose this option. This is the second tour I’ve booked with Headout and both times I have been nothing less than impressed. I highly recommend using Headout for booking this tour. Exceptional!!

Die Tour hat uns sehr gut gefallen, die Führerin war sehr kompetent und hat uns viel über Pompeii erzählt. Leider haben wir falsche Informationen (trotz mehrmaligem Nachfragen) über den Treffpunkt bekommen und nur durch die Führer vor Ort sind wir über den richtigen Treffpunkt informiert worden. Hätten wir uns daran gehalten, was uns schriftlich mitgeteilt wurde, wären wir am falschen Ort gestanden.

What to bring

A valid ID or passport is required for entry.

It’s recommended to wear comfortable shoes as this experience involves a fair amount of walking.

It is recommended to bring sunglasses, sunscreen and water. Flip-flops are not suitable.

Only small dogs on a leash can be brought inside the park. Guide dogs with a certificate are permitted.

What’s not allowed

Flash photography and tripods are allowed in this experience.

This tour is not recommended for travelers with mobility issues or impairments, because of challenging terrain.

The fee for the excavation sites of Pompeii is free for all first Sundays of the month.
