Beautiful place to visit! Very impressive and not a must-see when you are in Naples. I would recommend taking a shuttle bus at the bottom; they are not expensive. However, the internet at the top is very poor and the Wi-Fi doesn't always work, so it is advisable to take a screenshot of the QR codes. Additionally, the tickets are "vouchers" that are not valid at the gates of Mount Vesuvius itself, but which you have to hand in to a separate organization that then walks with you and scans the tickets for you. On top of that, it is important to check the prices in the souvenir shops, because there is one that offers a "special deal," but this is simply much more expensive. All in all, highly recommended. The view is amazing!

Belle journée pour une très belle visite sur le Vésuve . On peut voir le cratère au complet. Important de porter de bonnes chaussures car le sentier est abrupt et rocailleux. Bonne organisation et équipe à l'heure. La guide nous a donné les informations essentielles en français. Pour le reste, elle était facile à comprendre. Il n'aurait pas vraiment été possible de se rendre en transport en commun. . Nous recommandons.

Accueil à l'agence impeccable et accompagnement jusqu'à l'arrêt du bus parfait et très utile. Malheureusement, le trafic était très dense en centre ville et le bus est parti avec près d'une heure de retard. Point très positif, cela ne nous a pas empêché de profiter d'une découverte du Vésuve dans d'excellentes conditions.

Thanks to tickets from Headout, we managed to get onto the trail quickly and smoothly. The views on the way to the volcano's summit were breathtaking. We got goosebumps as we looked into the crater. The view from the top of Vesuvius towards Pompeii was stunning and ensured we would remember this day forever.

Я взял самую позднюю экскурсию на Везувий в суботу. Так вот, кроме меня не было ни одного туриста в автобусе, компания могла отменить мою поездку, но нет, не отменила. Отвезли меня одного к началу маршрута и потом забрали вовремя, тоже одного!

Accessibility

This experience is not accessible by wheelchair and pram/strollers.

Due to the steep gradient and the characteristics of the trail, climbing to the crater is not recommended for individuals with complex health conditions, including respiratory or cardiovascular issues.

The hike is suitable for everyone (hiking difficulty: E or easy) and requires no special trekking preparation.

Children are allowed on the hike with adult supervision.

Additional information

The digital guidebook is available in English only.

All Mount Vesuvius tickets include a Park safety ranger to the crater. However, this professional is not a guide, and accompanies visitors purely for safety purposes.

In case of bad weather or force majeure, the climb may be suspended by the volcanological guides.
