What to expect
The music: La Troya doesn't do half-measures. 30 years deep, drag royalty hosting, NYC house founding fathers in the booth, no judgment, no pretension. Mondays at Chinois turn into something properly outrageous, with Todd Terry, David Morales, Kevin Aviance, Gok Wan, Melanie C, and Jodie Harsh all taking their turn. Baby Marcelo runs the show. Residents Oscar Colorado and Paul Darey hold the floor every week. Come for the music, stay for the spectacle.
The venue: Chinois
Sonic Temple of Ibiza, inside Ibiza Gran Hotel in Marina Botafoch. One room, dancefloor-first, walking distance from Ibiza Town. Chinois calls itself a temple to the spirit of Ibiza, La Troya calls itself a pleasure dome, the source page says they were made for each other, and Mondays prove it.
