Getting started

Both museums are a five-minute walk from each other on Djurgården island. Present your mobile ticket at entry, no collection required. Tickets are valid for 72 hours, so many visitors choose to visit both museums on separate days.

Vasa Museum

What to expect

Enter a building designed around a single extraordinary object, a 17th-century warship standing almost fully intact. The experience flows across six viewing levels, each offering a different perspective of the ship, with exhibits surrounding it throughout.

Vrak – Museum of Wrecks

What to expect

A short walk brings you to Vrak, where the focus shifts from a single ship to the broader world beneath the Baltic Sea. The experience is more interactive, using digital technology to take you underwater without getting wet.

• VR dives, holograms, and games recreate active maritime archaeological sites on the Baltic seabed.

• The Vikings Before Vikings exhibition presents recent burial ground findings with interactive elements, including Viking dress-up.

• Free guided tours run daily at noon and 3pm in English and at 11am and 2pm in Swedish.
