Getting started

Please arrive 45 minutes before departure at the Pacific Whale Foundation Ocean Store in the Maʻalaea Harbor Shops. After your tickets are validated, the crew will provide a brief safety orientation. The onboard naturalist will then walk you through the plan for snorkeling, sailing, dining, and wildlife viewing so you know exactly what to expect during the evening.

During whale season (November through March), you will also have the opportunity to watch for humpback whales while naturalists share insights into their behaviors, migration, and conservation.

What to bring

Guests planning to purchase alcoholic drinks must present a valid photo ID confirming they are 21 years of age or older.

A credit card is required for any onboard purchases, as cash is accepted solely for tipping purposes.

Use reef-safe or mineral-based sunscreen to help protect the ocean environment, and remember it can be bought onboard if necessary.

Choose flat or low-profile footwear to maintain stability and safety while on deck.

Accessibility

Anyone with medical conditions such as heart, respiratory, blood pressure, or mobility issues should consult their doctor and inform the crew prior to snorkeling.

Flotation devices are available to assist guests during snorkeling sessions.

Restrooms and a freshwater rinse shower are provided onboard for added comfort.

What’s not allowed

The use of full-face snorkel masks is not allowed.

Smoking and vaping are prohibited throughout the vessel.

Standing on seating or sitting on railings, tables, counters, or chair backs is not permitted for safety reasons.

For safety, children may not ride on someone’s shoulders while onboard.
