Akihabara: 1-Hour Street Go-Karting Experience

What to bring 

• Have your passport and a physical copy of your International Driving Passport (IDP) for a seamless experience.

What’s not allowed

• Guests below the age of 18 years cannot participate in this experience.

• Guests under the influence of alcohol will not be allowed on this experience.

• Licenses from countries not under the 1949 Geneva Convention (e.g., China, Indonesia, Mexico, Qatar) are not valid for driving in Japan.

• Guests weighing over 100 kg (220 pounds) cannot participate in this experience.

Accessibility 

• This experience is not wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

• Your safety comes first so pregnant people and people with back and neck issues are restricted from participating in this experience.

Additional information 

• Guests need an International Driving Permit (IDP) issued under the 1949 Geneva Convention to drive in Japan.

• Australian driver’s license holders must obtain an IDP from authorized associations like AAA, NRMA, RACV, RACQ, RAA, RAC, RACT, or AANT before leaving Australia. Permits issued by unauthorized associations are not accepted in Japan.

• Guests with licenses from Switzerland, Germany, France, Taiwan, Belgium, or Monaco must carry a Japanese translation of their license issued by the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF).

• US Military personnel can drive using their SOFA (USFJ Form 4EJ) permit or state-side license, along with an Active Duty Military ID.

• If the experience is canceled due to poor weather, it will be rescheduled or a different route for the go-karting will be provided.

• Arrive at the designated meeting point at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time to avoid delays.

• Your voucher will be emailed to you shortly.
• Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the starting point.
• Please check your final voucher for the starting point details & specific instructions.
