Our tour guide was on time, ready to go. The team gave us EarPods and the group was off! A native of Florence, our guide gave us information, anecdotes, and local lore. I now know why bread taste different in Florence! She kept us moving, stopping to give us time to take it in, entertaining the entire time. Worth every penny, this tour is the first thing we bring up when asked about our trip! Thank you HeadsUp!

Eduardo was great explaining everything during the tour, being comprehensive but never boring! We are very happy with the experience in Florence and strongly suggest everyone that is interested in the Santa Maria del Fiore "complex".

Anastasia our guide was very helpful , instructive and passionate about the information she gave us on the guided part of the talk. She also showed us where to access the other parts of the unguided tour. She was great. The views from the top of the Dome are beautiful and well worth all the steps. The church and baptistry were also amazing. The only reason I never gave 5 stars is because the whole tour is not explained properly on head out. They take you around the outside of the dome , inside the baptistry and the museum . You are then led to the Dome tower queue. From there you are on your own to use priority entrance for the church and crypt and the normal entrance to the bell tower. The building is amazing and definitely worth seeing.

The organization of the tour was good and as described, and access details worked as explained. The guide was fine, but nothing special and not terribly energetic or charismatic- it was very factual but I have had several more dynamic guides who really seemed excited about the topic and made the attraction come alive...

Uncover the stories behind the art and architecture as your expert guide (available in English, Spanish, Italian, or German) decodes mosaics, masterpieces, and the engineering marvels that shaped the Duomo complex.

What to expect

Step into the beating heart of Renaissance Florence with a guided tour of its most iconic monuments — the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Baptistery of San Giovanni, and the Opera del Duomo Museum.

Features

Experience the full story: With a professional guide (English, Spanish, Italian, or German), explore how these three spaces, sacred, civic, and artistic, reflect Florence’s ambition, ingenuity, and faith.

Discover deeper meaning: From the golden mosaics of the Baptistery to Brunelleschi’s revolutionary architecture and Ghiberti’s original Gates of Paradise, your guide reveals how these monuments shaped one another over centuries.

Connect the dots: See how theology, politics, and artistic rivalry are woven into every corner of the complex, details that are often missed without expert insight.

Want more? Upgrade your experience: After your guided tour, add climbs to Brunelleschi’s Dome and Giotto’s Bell Tower. These panoramic summits offer a soaring new perspective, not just of Florence, but of the genius behind the architecture you’ve just explored.
