The gallery was amazing. The guide in my opinion spent too much time on specific pieces of art and there was no time for questions about other pieces.

The tour was so well organised. The meeting place was very clear and with reminders. The "whisperers" were an excellent idea. He could speak quietly (being considerate to other visitors and to other tour leaders) but we could hear him clearly even if we were not close to him. He is a delightful man too. The Borghese Gallery is absolutely stunning and so well worth the visit. I strongly suggest that if you are in Rome, you should not miss it. But definately do a tour and definately with Matteo. You get so much more out of it. Matteo's knowledge of art and history is extraordinary. I learnt alot and appreciated the paintings or sculptures so much more eg the pressure on Persephone's thigh from Pluto's hand in Bernini's marble sculpture. Who would have thought? I had done another tour previously and the meeting place was the Colosseum. But where?? I could not find the tour leader! I thought that there would be a sign or something. Walked the whole place... what a waste of money. Heard that elsewhere too. So use this Company!

This was a truly fantastic tour. The Borghese Gallery is stunning, housing incredible masterpieces by Caravaggio, Titian, Bernini, and many others. Our guide was exceptional. I unfortunately didn't catch his name, but I have attached his photo so the organisers can hopefully identify him. He was so engaging that even my teenage son — who usually hates art gallery tours — thoroughly enjoyed it. Time flew by so fast that when our guide announced it was time to say goodbye, my son was genuinely surprised and even a bit disappointed that it was over. This tour was worth every single penny we spent. Highly recommended!

Our guide (forgive me, his name escapes us) was on time, engaging, extremely knowledgeable, humorous, patient. His energy was electric he just drew you in, whilst touring the various rooms, he' was often within our crowd, not just following him, (we were his apostles) surrounded him as we moved. His unique style of explaining the objects he was somehow relates it to our current "society". You are were captivating. Thank you for the knowlege.

Ayant oublié les tickets d'entrée à l'hôtel, j'ai été agréablement surpris d'avoir un appel spontané de la villa Borghese à l'heure prévue pour l'entrée du site. cette personne s'est inquiétée de notre absence. Elle nous a indiqué comment faire pour nous permettre d'entrer quand même. Quelle heureux dénouement pour cette visite magnifique qui avait failli d'être avortée. Merci encore.

We travelled from Ireland and had my most favourite tour ever with the best guide ever, Mitra. Thank you Mitra for the most knowledgeable and well presented tour that I've attended. The animated and passionate presentation of the Bernini sculptures with Caravaggios paintings and the stories behind them were riveting for the duration of the tour. Thank you for the experience.

Best tour of all in Rome. So much artwork. Go at your own pace auto tour made it better to understand and learn about each room. Plus the outside grounds were beautiful.

Mein persönliches Highlight war die Organisation vor Ort incl. Rückruf wegen Zeitverschiebung...Aber ansonsten ist die Villa Borghese natürlich ein sehr schönes Erlebnis!

Your ticket gives you entry to the Borghese Gallery for a visit of up to 1 or 2 hours, as per the option selected. Inside, you move through its main rooms and collections at a set pace, either independently, with an audio guide, or on a guided tour.

Additional information

Bag policy: You cannot take any bags into the Borghese Gallery, and you must leave them in the cloakroom before entering.

Gallery access: Certain rooms in the gallery may be closed during your visit because of refurbishment work.

Two hours inside only: All guests get a maximum of two hours to finish the gallery tour, with or without a guide.
