Istanbul Aquarium

With 18 habitats, the Istanbul Aquarium covers geographical zones from across the planet. Together, they hold a staggering 1,500 species of marine life – a total of more than 15,000 land and sea creatures. You’ll see fearsome-looking sharks, graceful manta rays, eels of all sizes, and even piranhas.

The aquarium offers a fascinating journey through the world’s seas across a 1.2-kilometer route. Each habitat reflects a different geographical zone, like the Black Sea, the Mediterranean, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Amazon rainforest. Walk this route and discover the planet’s astounding marine biodiversity.

With over 15,000 marine species, the aquarium houses an astounding diversity of fish. Apart from sharks, colorful tropical fish, and rays, you’ll find several unique species like the Humphead Wrasse, Banggai Cardinalfish, Emperor Angelfish, and the Red-bellied Piranha.

Engage with interactive exhibits, including live feeding sessions and touch pools. You can get up close and personal with the various sea creatures, and gain a deeper understanding of their behaviour and habitat in a fun and educational way.
