The water puppets were amazing, although the person we were supposed to collect our tickets from was late. The instructions given to us by the website said we were to look for someone in a blue shirt to get our tickets from, but they were wearing black so we had a hard time finding them.

The live music and the puppeteers' artistry, together with the audio guide, made for a great experience. We booked VIP seats and can only recommend doing so, as the view is truly fantastic. At 50 minutes, the show is the perfect length. For us, an absolute must when visiting Hanoi.

Really nice evening! Getting the tickets was really easy and close to the puppet theater. Easy access to the theater and we had a great time. The seats are elevated so I wouldn't necessarily pay extra to be closer if I would go back. I recommend!

The Thang Long water puppet show is spectacular. I had watched this show the first time in Apr this year and was soo spellbound that I watched it again last week. And even on a repeat watch it was soo enjoyable. The music is mesmerizing and almost feels meditative. The puppetry was soo well choreographed and skillfull. The folks tales were told in a humourous yet informative way. If you want a true slice of Vietnamese life, do take an hour out to watch this show. You will not regret it. Oh yes do take the audio guide so you can follow the story!
