The Chiang Mai Voyage of Light celebration unfolds at Chiang Mai Valley of Light in Doi Saket, home to the Grand Lanna Lantern & Loy Krathong Festival. Throughout the evening, you can move between cultural spaces, food zones, and the Lantern Release Zone, with Wat Phra That Doi Ku illuminated in the background.

• From your standard seating at the Lantern Release Zone, you can watch the main ceremony and prepare for the iconic lantern sequence with clear views toward the illuminated Wat Phra That Doi Ku. The seating area places you at the heart of the mass release so you feel part of the core ritual.
• Participation includes 2 sky lanterns and 1 Krathong, which you will assemble and light in line with the event flow. The handcrafted Krathong connects you with the Loy Krathong aspect of the Grand Lanna Lantern & Loy Krathong Festival as it joins the wider offering.
