    It was authentic and well-organized.

Absolutely loved this adventure. I arranged my spot about a week before for Sunday, just in case our Friday flight bailed (which did happen with another group, thanks to weather). Flights get booked up fast, so if you're in Cappadocia, make sure you have some flex days for the balloons! I actually got to do pickups with two different groups, but this one blew me away in how smooth everything went. We were taken right to the launch site, got a little breakfast box, and climbed into the basket without waiting. The pilot was super chatty about what was happening, and taking off felt almost unreal—so smooth. Watching the world wake up beneath you as the sun comes up is honestly unreal. The pilot kept moving us up and down and spinning for all the best angles. Plus, all the details and team running it made it feel totally worth the price. Landing was spot on, and they handed out bubbly drinks and a cool certificate after. Super grateful I booked this.

Wandering through Cappadocia’s rocky landscape by day is incredible, but stepping down into the Motif cave venue for the Whirling Dervishes show was on a whole different level. My partner and I found the atmosphere almost magical, seats carved from stone, and a hush that fell as the dervishes took their places. The Sema ceremony started slow, the swirling robes moving to a rhythm that’s hard to describe but completely absorbing. The audio guide was helpful—we learned about each part of the ceremony, which made it really meaningful rather than just something to watch. One thing I would improve is maybe a bit more lighting in the entrance, it took a second for our eyes to adjust coming in from outside. Afterward, we were offered a sherbet drink—a really nice touch to end it, chatting softly under the ancient arches. It’s not your typical high-energy show, but that’s what we loved: a peaceful, spiritual pause in the heart of Turkey.

This tour was fantastic. Really clear updates and everything was set up well. My driver arrived a little ahead of time even. The ride from my hotel to breakfast took around an hour—super smooth, no delays. Breakfast was local bread and tea, simple but nice. After that, we went to the balloon site, waited maybe 10 minutes, and then got into the basket. The pilot, Alihan, gave us easy-to-follow tips and took us up to 1200m. After landing, we toasted with non-alcoholic bubbly. They took us straight back to our hotels. Soganli valley is a bit farther from Goreme, but it’s less busy and you’ve got more space to float. Totally recommend it, really enjoyed myself!

Taking the hot air balloon up was super enjoyable. We had no issues at all, and being up above just as the sun came up made it feel extra memorable—seriously, those sunrise sights are wild. We thought the whole thing was well arranged and we left really pleased. Only thing that bugged us was at the finish, since we were expecting some cake and a glass of non-alcoholic bubbly like they'd talked about, but the cake never appeared. Not a huge deal, didn't ruin things, but it was a small letdown since they mentioned it in the info. Still, we'd totally suggest this ride. Floating up and catching sunrise from the balloon, you can't top that.
