if you're going to oman you absolutely have to do this. we went with Rachid as guide and he was fantastic - kept 10 of us safe and at a good pace the whole time. it was ramadan so lunch was in the van which sounds odd but was actually a nice hot meal, no complaints. bring proper water shoes with grip, the rocks can be slippery in the water sections, i can't stress this enough. the wadi is the main event, the sinkhole is nice for a leg stretch but wouldn't be worth the trip on its own

Qais was the guide and honestly he was brilliant. super enthusiastic about his work, gave us a real heads up about what to expect on the hike (it got HOT and that makes it tougher than it looks). kept everyone hydrated and looked after. communication before the day was great, he even drove back to return something i left in the van after. highlight of the trip without question

Booked through GidOman and we had Rashid for the day. Even though there were a few weaker swimmers in our group he was endlessly patient and made sure everyone felt okay in the water. He bought the whole group ice cream on the way back which sounds small but honestly it was such a nice touch after a long day. Credit to him and to the company

private tour was 100% the right call for us. guide set the pace entirely around us, we could linger at the bits we loved and skip past the parts we weren't as fussed about. wadi is stunning, pools are a crazy colour and the cave waterfall genuinely surprised us. sinkhole rounded off a great day. comfortable vehicle and really good lunch

right decision going private. guide was great company - relaxed, well informed and really attuned to what we wanted from the day. the wadi is jaw dropping in real life and the cave waterfall is something you can't get anywhere else. good lunch and smooth from start to finish. recommend
